How do you enjoy all that great food and not put on the weight at Christmas?

snoball - 05 Dec 2003 21:05 - 3120 of 23498

I don't, This_is_me. Not enjoy the food, I mean.

Socrates - 05 Dec 2003 22:30 - 3121 of 23498

Zarif
You really must get yourself some glasses. That lay on the roof is the figurehead off my yacht, I stuck it up there whilst I'm painting it.

Since the sun is over the yardarm it must be time to break out the ready use sherry trifle.

Socrates - 06 Dec 2003 07:38 - 3122 of 23498

What shall I do, "her indoors" has gorn orf to the big smoke today and left me all alone? Oh well, I suppose I could start the day with a hearty breakfast and then perhaps find something interesting to do, perhaps I could have a nap. It's beginning to sound better already. I know, I'll get all my favourite videos out, the ones she doesn't like.

little willie - 06 Dec 2003 10:43 - 3123 of 23498

Socs..I'm in the same boat as you, mrs.lw gorn to uk for 2 weeks, freedom but what to do.
Thought about holding a 'rave' but guess most folk don't want to jive to Buddy Holly, Big 'O', Everleys & Diamond. For a time he REALLY was a girls best friend!!
So, I've spent morning reading and the pm will be on the golf course.

People here are smashing, really friendly; words gone around the Golf Estate
that I'm on my lonesome and dinner invites are coming in nicely preventing the need for preparation, cooking and cleaning up. Instead its out to some of my favourite restaurants and all for 'free', THUS proving there is such a thing as a free dinner, if not a lunch!

Tonight I'm at a neighbours for a big ruby murray, luvly jumbly!!

I'm intrigued to know the titles of the videos;
expect they're The Dam Busters, Reach for the Sky, Sink the Bismark,
Dolores Bares All et al???

Make sure the curtains are drawn and front & back door locked...lol..

little willie - 06 Dec 2003 10:47 - 3124 of 23498

GD..Who is the girl in the blue underwear and black stilleto's on the header? Is it vasey, lw, hils or snoball; if it's a need to know thing fair enough, both Socs and I need to know!!!! and URGENTLY.
Is she capable of being 'blown up?'

Socrates - 06 Dec 2003 11:11 - 3125 of 23498

little willie
2 out of four, not bad. You missed Battle of the River Plate and Battle of Britain. I have a few reserves too, mostly comedy of one sort or another.

snoball - 06 Dec 2003 16:15 - 3126 of 23498

OI!!
little willie! I'm not a girl!

Golddog - 06 Dec 2003 16:32 - 3127 of 23498

Full size woman then?

Im in bed with a cold, pass the lemsip. (yes i know it's only a cold but you know what us men are like. cough cough must be dying!)

Well done to Hilary for winning Ramper of the year. (Mutley laugh!) :-)

Golddog - 06 Dec 2003 16:52 - 3128 of 23498

The Investment Game starts next weekend so i will want you to give me 3 stocks and how much in each to invest (80,000) next Friday, Sat or Sun. Rules coming soon.

littlewillie, Since i started playing golf this year im now hooked for life, how did i ever live without it! All i can say is that you are very lucky to be living where you are (on the 18th!).

:-)

little willie - 06 Dec 2003 22:10 - 3129 of 23498

Sorry snoball, got confused with stockbunny [its an age thing].

Gold Dog, thats what this game does to you, you love it or hate it;we live behind the 21st green [we have 3 loops of 9 holes = 27holes].
Suggest you get your arse out here and I'll show you a golfing paradise.

We've had a cloudless week with a min. of 33 degrees each day, air con in the house is now on 5-8 hours a day, beautiful...

Get better dawg, I vote Hils rear of the year [sod the ramper bit, more like rampant].

Socrates - 07 Dec 2003 15:54 - 3130 of 23498

SHERRY TRIFLE

vasey - 07 Dec 2003 16:59 - 3131 of 23498

Great! Sorry you couldn't make it to the Christmas do on Friday, Socks! It was quite an occasion. That naughty Ruth organized a topless woman for Mike B ...

http://members.lycos.co.uk/Deddington/mamx031.jpg

and the rest of us behaved beautifully! We had a great mass outing to the London Eye at about 7pm which was fantastic and then everybody retired to another bar ... at which point I retired in favour of a take-away and an early night!!!

Socrates - 07 Dec 2003 19:23 - 3132 of 23498

Hi Vasey
Sorry to have missed the Christmas do, it must have been quite fun. I must admit I'm too shy for carousing with half naked ladies, except in private, then it can be .................interesting.

I saw your piece on DYS, very good, thanks.

Golddog - 07 Dec 2003 19:36 - 3133 of 23498

Evening all.

Well i have just broken into the 'old place' for the first time since eviction day and have been able to read some posts, so thankyou for some of the kind words some of you posted at the time. I see some of you have even been in the Cafe only recently. :-)

Golddog - 07 Dec 2003 19:41 - 3134 of 23498

I had not time for the Barsteward, has been lasting too long for my liking.

Had a bad experience, as (he) acted as a Dictator at the time.
It was a competition, just after the 11 September 02, and did not put my choise of share down, because did not like my comments in another thread,
I wonder if (he) was a Muslim ?

Well it lasted much less than the other Dictator Hussain.

(Mutley laugh) :-) Love you too.
