How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?
Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

Taylor wins 13-11 - a 1.03 shot, out to bigger than 3.0 then wins - nice if you traded it up and then back down - be interesting to see what price taylor is for the final tomorrow now

Morning all, Back from my weekend adventures in EuroDisney. I need to grow more hair or wear a hat next time. Can't comb my hair this morning thanks to sunburn!!
Been playing around with the financials this morning, will probably be on the horses this afternoon. Got a house full of workmen for the next few days so having to balance out expectations at the moment.

Morning from me too and back to work :(
Scrip, Nice to know you enjoyed your weekend. I,too, had a great time in Venice.
Thanks for your email. Managed to sort out the problem. Apparently, when I downloaded the Framework update it converted my settings to US date settings.

Scrip,
Just a quick comment re. Betangel. I'm not sure whether you're aware of this unless it's a problem on my side.
I was checking the tennis odds on Henin v Petrova game. The Betfair screen shows monies available to back at 1.22, 1.23, 1.24 as 16079, 23155 and 995 respectively, whereas Betangel is showing 1607, 2315 and 995.
It seems that the back/lay boxes on Betangel can only accomodate 4 digits unless this is corrected when the game gets underway?

Seems to be fine over here and with others I have checked. Can you confirm the screen resolution you are on?

It, probably, is my screen resolution. It was originally set at 1400x1050. However, I've reset to 1280x1024 and still having the same problem. What is the recommended max screen resolution?
