Israeli Gaza conflict?????? (GAZA)

Fred1new - 06 Jan 2009 19:21

Will this increase or decrease the likelihood of terrorist actions in America, Europe and the rest of the world?

If you were a member of a family murdered in this conflict, would you be seeking revenge?

Should Tzipi Livni and Ehud Olmert, be tried for war crimes if or when this conflict comes to an end?

What will the price of oil be in 4 weeks time?

Why does Israel have a right to exist as a separate entity?

Hezbollah has nothing to do with Gaza and what is going on there. Hamas are a very different group. I didn't say that Hamas only want open ports for arms. They want their borders open. For instance people in Gaza are not allowed passports and cannot leave the country.

Israel stops ALL exports from Gaza to keep it in poverty. What is the justification of stoppong exports. Businesses can hardly survive in Gaza. Whether arms are brough in or not their borders should be open. No other group of people around the world have these restrictions placed upon them. Hamas do want to improve the lot of the people of Gaza but I would expect they want arms as well. Hamas wants their land back. The Israelis can live there as well, but it is Palestinian land.

who says and who says and who says? - other than you and your clique of dangerous loonies ..... can't determine which bit is the largest load of rubbish i have read in a while, so all much of a muchness ..... clearly some mineral deficiencies in your diets, and probable mental deficiencies too, all leading to psychopathic tendencies

Haystack - 11 Jul 2010 15:30 - 3129 of 6906

There are plenty of Jews here, in the US and other parts of the world who think Israel should not exist. Israel uses its arms aginst the Palestinians every day. It is only reasonable that they have something to fight back with. You are complaining about the theory that a solution will be by force of arms. Tell that to the Israelis as it is they who believe in that strategy.

Israel is even expelling lawfully elected Palestinian MP from Jerusalem, which is the city where they were born. Israel is illegally revoking their residency. This is in East Jerusalem, which is the Arab part and now illegally occupied by Israel. Currently three MPs are living inside the Red Cross compound where they have been given sacturary for the last cpuple of weeks or so. It will be interesting to see if Israel dares to attack a Red Cross mission.

The Israelis are evicting Arabs from their homes in East Jerusalem and allowing Israeli settlers to take over the homes while Israeli soldiers help them. The former inhabitants have been living in tents often next door to ther houses. This is ethnic cleansing of the same sort that happened in Serbia, Kosovo, Rwanda etc.

This is ethnic cleansing of the same sort that happened in Serbia, Kosovo, Rwanda etc. ....... total and utter twaddle! ...... though i will grant that it is totally reprehensible ...... but do add a little balance by admitting that hamas (and hezbollah) are little better and, given half a chance, would probably act much worse

i live more in hope than expectation

Haystack - 11 Jul 2010 16:37 - 3131 of 6906

Obviously you expect the Palestinians to just roll over and take what Israel dishes out without defending themselves. Of course it is ethnic cleansing. There have been a number of Israeli documents published recently that detail the plans to take over East Jerusalem make it more Jewish. More than 200,000 Israelis have moved to East Jerusalem since Israel occupied it. More and more Palestinian homes are being demolished. Israel claims they were builtd illegally and without the permission of Israel even though most of the homers predate the Israeli occupation.

groan!
i really shouldn't waste my time on you

try looking up the genocide in rwanda and now compare that with the forced "removal" of some palestinians from their homes .... though as i have said many times, israel's (the israeli gov't to be more precise) actions in many ways and areas are despicable

you really do wreck your whole argument by including the most preposterous exaggerations and other hamas propaganda as if it were gospel

Proportionate response?

RAMALLAH The Israeli police released an Israeli settler on Sunday only two hours after detaining him on charges of killing a 15-year-old Palestinian child two months ago.

The police announced that the settler, residing in Yitzhar settlement built on Palestinian land in Nablus district, claimed that he fired at the boy Aysar Al-Zaban after stones were thrown at his car.

The statement said that the settler, 37, said that his car was stoned near Birzeit town in Ramallah district, so he stopped the car and fired at the boy leading to his instant death.

Palestinian sources said that the man chased a group of boys and fired at them at the pretext of throwing stones at his car, killing the child on the spot.

That is off topic. It is in Mogadishu and has to do with al-Qaeda and the Mujahideen and NOT Gaza.

ANKARA
Bulent Yildirim, the head of the Turkish IHH humanitarian relief foundation, has asserted that his organization prepares for more sea and land convoys to break the unjust siege on Gaza Strip, revealing "many surprises" to come in the coming three months.

Meanwhile, the city of Istanbul witnessed meetings for international lawyers from more than 25 countries planning to file lawsuits against the Israeli officials involved in the massacre aboard the Mavi Marmara ship that was carrying humanitarian aid to the besieged people of Gaza Strip in May.

BERLIN
A group of Jewish activists in Germany will send an aid ship to the besieged Gaza Strip at the end of July to break the blockade and to express their rejection of Israel's inhuman acts against the Palestinians.

The ship will sail from the Lebanese shores carrying Jews from European countries and the US in addition to German lawmakers and Palestinian activists. Holocaust survivors are reported to be among the participants.

Kate Katzenstein-Leiterer, a member of the executive committee of the European Jews for a Just peace, said the ship will be carrying school supplies, musical instruments, children's clothing and stuff for children that Israel has forbidden as well as fishing boat motors and fishing nets.

Katzenstein-Leiterer pointed out that the aim of this trip is to draw the attention of German politicians to the tragedy created by the Israeli occupation in Gaza and to convey the world Jewry's rejection of Israel's crimes and inhuman policy against the Palestinians.

She added that the ship is also aimed to tell the Palestinians in Gaza that there are Jews who want to bring them something other than bombs and destruction.

The Jewish activist also criticized the deadly attack on the Freedom Flotilla aid convoy, describing it as an extension of the crimes Israel has been committing since its inception.

"How could it be possible to talk about easing the siege while there are widespread unemployment, closed factories, 140,000 unemployed workers, high rates of poverty and water pollution, and untreated sewage flowing into the sea,"

cynic - 18 Jul 2010 14:23 - 3146 of 6906

crimes, massacre et al are all typical of inflammatory rhetoric, whereas the other side are always heroic, peace-loving, cuddly-bears ... some things never change, including the gullibility of some to believe the rubbish
