Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Jumpin -- well debugged!

Derek (IST and MoneyAM)

That's because they use threadID as a parameter on the end of URLs, the last four characters of which are AdID... Aren't computers thick :-)

scussy - 21 Dec 2002 04:37 - 315 of 7315

yes well done jumpin and many thanks,
i have just unclicked the ad blocker
and all works now,
maybe a note should be made on the e-mail what gives you your pass and ID,
as many more using NORTONS 2002 will have the same problem,

steve

Very well found. I am not a computer buff but maybe we should just change the URL ADid. There are a lot of Norton users, we don't want to p*s them off.

Morning Mike,
thanks for your help sorting out the login problems yesterday. Are you going to have a real time feed for US futures? May have been discussed previously, but that would be extremely useful.

Enhancement request

- Sorting by trade price, ascending or descending, in 'Trades'.

- 'Market Scan' filter by FTSE (ie, only FT100 or FT350 etc) or market sector
(eg. banks)

Thanks

Morning guys,
Gotta say that the site is looking good!!
Just one small thing....i have to scroll left/right to see all the page content, is that general or does it just happen on specific machines/monitors?
If its down to my comp is there any way i can change it so i dont have to scroll. I know this is a trivial type of question but it would be an improvement for me!!...Cheers
Dugsy

Click in the middle of your screen and select "properties" then "settings" and make sure your resolution is set to either 800/600 or 1024/768

'Alerts' comments

Praises. Looks good.
- Simple to operate
- Has all the options I need
- Clear to see
- Like the disable/enable facility

Suggestions for advanced alert features
- alert by comparision to previous trading days intra-day high and low
- alert by trade voulme (#shares) or # trades
- option to alert to current MoneyAm session instead of email.
(a little flashing button perhaps, if logged on.)
- Linking stock Watch with Alerts
(eg. Flashing alert on 'Stock watch' for watched and alerted stocks.)

Features comes at the expense of system complexity, query response and resource
usage. It is a decision for the managment.

Like the white letter on blue background. Easier on the eyes.

dugsy - 21 Dec 2002 11:32 - 324 of 7315

Croc....yep, size already set at 800/600 , dont normally get the prob with other sites.....i can live with a little inconvenience tho :)

Daily stock OHLCV data download ?

Seymour Clearly - 22 Dec 2002 20:30 - 326 of 7315

Just a thought - it may have been said already, but people should be aware that anyone can read your real name by clicking on your user name if it's set like that on your user profile. This removes the anonimity which many may prefer. Perhaps a note to this effect in the user profile section or when registering for the baord.

Philmiboots - 22 Dec 2002 21:27 - 327 of 7315

On STOCKWATCH the % spread column is a bit fussy being correct to 3 decimal places. Surely one DP is enough?

Jumpin - 22 Dec 2002 22:14 - 328 of 7315

Yes Seymour Clearly, perhaps the default should be to have no details there at all until you enter some?
On a positive note, I like the way you can sort the columns and alter the width in stockwatch lists.

Jeroo - 23 Dec 2002 00:36 - 329 of 7315

Bullshare - post 133 "White fonts in buttons - need tarting up" If the drop down list box idea doesn't appeal (post 300) then there are pixel fonts that are legible at very small point sizes that will do a good jobs on the buttons available here

Biker - 23 Dec 2002 10:12 - 330 of 7315

Streaming isn't working this morning. Is it broke or is it me?

Bullshare - 23 Dec 2002 10:19 - 331 of 7315

Biker; Seems Ok, did you use it Ok on Friday

Jeroo; Agree a bit wishy washy

Bullshare - 23 Dec 2002 10:20 - 332 of 7315
