Buy Vodafone!

mactavish - 05 Dec 2005 23:44 - 3132 of 3776

I believe now that EVO are out of the equation we will see more buys from institutions.

I understand some institutions would not touch any shares where EVO were brokers, which after EVO's bad publicity, you can't blame them.

This will be a turning point for the company, coupled with a more accurate broker note.

With anticipated profits in Q1 2006, we will have an interesting few months ahead.

Regards

Dil - 08 Dec 2005 12:13 - 3134 of 3776

Hate to see your other picks.

mas002 - 08 Dec 2005 12:57 - 3135 of 3776

Anyone know why volume so high today?

Obe2konobi - 08 Dec 2005 13:02 - 3136 of 3776

Hope you`re right Tanker but I saw your prediction for Morrisons some months ago saying buy before they rise, undervalued. That was months ago and no change. Not that I bought in, but I take any predictions with a large pinch of salt.

Has somebody got wind of some good news in the pipeline judging by the sudden buying frenzy today ? News or comment would be welcome. Obe

Mr Mole - 08 Dec 2005 13:04 - 3137 of 3776

Looking at the iii thread the chartists are predicting a break out and also a rumour of a US interest. Checked TDW and there are 99% buys today.

Obe2konobi - 08 Dec 2005 13:19 - 3138 of 3776

Thanks Mr Mole. Good of you to pop your head up out of the ground while daylight. Obe :)

Mr Mole - 08 Dec 2005 13:25 - 3139 of 3776

No problem..what daylight?

Obe2konobi - 08 Dec 2005 14:26 - 3140 of 3776

Oh, that`s right. Spending so much time underground has had some evolutionary effects on you hasn`t it. Sorry to hear about that !

How has the SP been held back so much considering the totally one-sided buy to sell ratio ? Many other companies seem to move one way or the other on a sneeze let alone a buy or sell ! Any words of wisdom ? Obe

Walktall - 08 Dec 2005 14:58 - 3141 of 3776

Obe2konobi,
use the force.
WT.

Kivver - 08 Dec 2005 15:07 - 3142 of 3776

obe - noticed your comment above about Morrisons. I do not have a holding yet but fully agree with tanker this is one set to go. when it will be noboddy knows ( i predict around may next year but some will want to get in early) but sell at profit thats what this game is all about.

cant buy yoomedia because im the ref between the bulls and the bears. starting point 7p!

Obe2konobi - 08 Dec 2005 15:27 - 3143 of 3776

Thanks WT but if it`s the force I`m using right now I`d like a refund coz it`s lost me 10k on Langbar and got me buying in on VOG at too higher price although I`m sure that will come good soon.

Kivver - I`m not confident about Morrisons since they bought the Safeways stores and have not made best use of the Southern stores re product. Pies might be the business up North but us Southern peeps prefer our rocket salad and crayfish tails. I heard many stores got it wrong when the rebranding happened south of the Watford gap. Have they got that right now ? Also, haven`t they still got too many stores and don`t they have to sell some more to meet the original agreement to buy out safeways ? Comments would be appreciated. Obe

Kivver - 08 Dec 2005 15:44 - 3144 of 3776

obe - just been to the refurbished store by me (birmingham, not as posh as u souterners lol) and it is excellent, the car park was packed and this was 2pm.

Dil - 08 Dec 2005 15:45 - 3145 of 3776

Kivver , the starting point was 10.09.04 when the thread started.

Kivver - 08 Dec 2005 15:46 - 3146 of 3776

that was then this is now dil.

Kivver - 08 Dec 2005 15:46 - 3147 of 3776

that was then this is now dil.

Obe2konobi - 08 Dec 2005 16:35 - 3148 of 3776

Slap bang in the middle of the spread.....I`m guessing that 5000000 trade must be a sell for the other 7000000+ buys not to move the SP north today. If it is a sell then I really hope we get some excellent news tomorrow.....wishful thinking on the date me thinks but long term it should be a corker. Obe

hewittalan6 - 08 Dec 2005 16:35 - 3149 of 3776

Think that 5 million trade at 7p was the cause of todays sp not moving all day depite buying.
Assume the trade was a sell.
Alan

Obe2konobi - 08 Dec 2005 16:41 - 3150 of 3776

My reading exactly Alan.
Kind of guessed something like that must be happening. Let`s just hope it`s someone with impecable timing like me who sells just at the wrong time to see the SP fly days later. I`m going to take a totally uneducated guess and tell myself the only reason for the sell was for an extra Christmas shopping fund and not because of any wind of bad news to come. Blinkers are on.
