Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

kajman,

Is this happening on any particular page or just randomly?

Ian

IanT(MoneyAM) - 19 Apr 2005 08:37 - 3136 of 7315

kajman,

Jonathan has taken a look into this and made a few tweaks - can you let me know if it happens again?

Ian

Ian

I have looked in a few times today, and I haven't seen any re-occurrance of the problem

Thanks
kaj

Each time I go to log in, I can't until I click on the message box that tells me to choose whether I want this site to display non-secure items.

And logging on with the pda shows me a message saying some certificate isn't up to date.

Anybody else getting these?

Kayak - 19 Apr 2005 23:33 - 3139 of 7315

Priscilla, check that the link you use to access the site starts with http: and not https: .

IanT(MoneyAM) - 20 Apr 2005 07:13 - 3140 of 7315

Priscilla,

Kayak is right if there is an 's' please remove it and this should stop the problem.

Ian

Unfortunately Ian I'm getting it too now, I think JT must have broken something :-)

IanT(MoneyAM) - 20 Apr 2005 09:07 - 3142 of 7315

Kayak,

We think it is an advert causing this - JT is taking a look,

Is there a problem with streaming news this am? all I can see is the Sun logo on the page.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 21 Apr 2005 09:34 - 3146 of 7315

prodman,

It is working fine - seems that you are struggling to download the applet - can you try Ctrl and F5 to force a refresh - if not can you close your browser and start again to see if this clears it?

Ian

prodman - 21 Apr 2005 09:37 - 3147 of 7315

Ian - tried that a few times still no good.

Andy - 22 Apr 2005 17:39 - 3148 of 7315

Ian,

I just checked the MAM monitor for final prices, and was pleased to note that my holdings had had reasonable day.

Upon opening my Comdirect portfolio, I was shocked to see a loss on the day, instead of a healthy gain.

I checked the BID prices on the monitor, against Comdirect's figures, and there were sereral differences.

I rang Comdirect, and asked them to check, and they said MAM has the "improved prices", and not yellow strip.

For example, SEY, MAM says 17p bid, whereas Comdirect yellow strip is 16.25.
" " EPD, MAM says 43p bid, Comdirect 40p.

Can you please explain the apparent significant differences?

And I thought I'd had a good day, all blue, and yet I seem to have made a loss!

Bullshare - 22 Apr 2005 20:26 - 3149 of 7315

Andy: Our Bid price is the official LSE close. The LSE takes a snapshot of bid and offer at close of business(4.30pm) which is before the market makers remove their quotes. I think Comdirect are showing you a price after some market makers have closed and removed the best bid and offers(after auction).

To help you to decide which is correct I have looked at the trades just before actual close and at the bid/offers at that time.!!

EPD

SEY
MoneyAM
Bid /offer level 1 17/17.25
Bid /offer level 2 17/17.25

Last trades of the day confirm bid/offer at 17/17.25

22/04/05 16:30 16.75 250,000 T 17.0 17.25
22/04/05 16:27 17.0 1,750 O 17.0 17.25

22/04/05 16:23 17.0025 4,001 O 17.0 17.25
22/04/05 16:18 17.34 50,000 O 17.0 17.25
22/04/05 16:17 17.0 40,000 O 17.0 17.25
22/04/05 16:16 17.0 5,000 O 17.0 17.25
22/04/05 16:12 17.12 150,000 O 17.0 17.25

To be honest there seem to be many differing prices. In the feed from the LSE for example they tell us 17/17.25, on their own site they have 16.75/17.25 with a mid of 17.25 which does not make sense either way.

Hope all this helps

Mike

Dil - 26 Apr 2005 08:06 - 3150 of 7315

My non streaming stockwatch doesn't work.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 26 Apr 2005 08:07 - 3151 of 7315

Dil,

I will let JT know - this is prbably related to the other problem we are having this morning,

Ian

Maggot - 28 Apr 2005 08:08 - 3152 of 7315

There's still the annoying fact that to get up-to-date five-day and streaming charts on terminals they have to be refreshed after 8am - just when you need them most. It didn't used to be like that - it used to be that when it was opened up in the morning the streaming chart was ready for action.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 28 Apr 2005 08:09 - 3153 of 7315

Maggot,

I will speak to James with regard to the new charts package that is being worked on and ask hime whether this will be possible when that is released - I will let you know if due course.

Ian
