TECHNOLOGY



Partnership Will Create Technology to Enable 3D Gameplay on Mobile Phones in
Korea



ARM ((LSE: ARM); (Nasdaq: ARMHY)), Superscape Group plc (LSE: SPS) and Sinjisoft
(Kosdaq: SINJISOFT Corporation) today announced that the three companies are
collaborating to deliver console quality 3D applications to wireless devices.
Sinjisoft has licensed the Swerve Client technology, which was jointly developed
by ARM and Superscape, for use in their GNEX software solution. The Swerve
Client technology will provide Sijisoft's GNEX solution with a 3D graphics
engine, enabling 3D gameplay on mobile phones in Korea.



'ARM is continuing to expand its reach in the ever-growing Korean consumer
electronics market,' said Lance Howarth, director, Embedded Software, ARM. 'The
Swerve Client software offers Sinjisoft a solution with optimum power and
performance to enable high-quality 3D gameplay. The Swerve technology is key for
downloaded games and other applications for mobile handsets distributed in the
dynamic Korean wireless market.'

Bugger that caught me out - I was hanging on to reinvest the money I drew down by selling half my holding - target was 50p.

I think I'll to revise my strategy. Maybe 55p should be my new target to get some more.

mg, its a bit of a pain this one, I have been in and out of these a few times, last time I went back in a couple of weeks ago I was determined to not pay more than 59p when they were trading at 60-61 I was pleased to pay 59.5 (I think) and then last week I spend several days not watching the market and when I did check I felt a slight tightening of the Thong, if you know what I mean, still in and these have been my best investment this year so no complaints.

Definitely my best performer this year - doubled my money and then sold so that it owes me nothing but profit from here in. However, it's definitely got potential - not as much as MST mind ;)

Well, didn't expect that. Had a limit buy in for my SIPP @53 - now back to my previous holding.

Quite happy 'cos the average purchase price is now about 27p ;)

I wouldn't worry mg, these are set for new highs (above the 65p mark) IMO. Being held back at the moment until fresh news on sales of handsets I imagine.

evolutiom mm was dragging sp lower. looks they have now got the shares needed for client. 60-62 without news.....there will prob be more news on 3g this month. orange is in trials with select customers, for launch in Jan.

Superscape Mobile Games come to Taiwan courtesy of iaSolution distribution agreement

The Superscape games which will be available immediately include:

Evel Knievel (licensed by GWE) - an extreme sports/stunt game starting the world famous daredevil

Alien vs Predator - two of films scariest characters do battle on earth in a game linked to the film

Fight Club - a twisting plot based on the themes established in the Fight Club film starring Brad Pitt

Ivan Stewart (licensed by GWE) - an isometric, third person off-road Baja style mobile race game featuring Ivan Ironman Stewart.

Thanks Skids.They are licensing like crazy in the far east right now...obviously a smart focus as the region has the highest per capita gaming anywhere, even US and developed Europe (it is as much as 2x) and mobile handsets to tweens/teens is exploding. I think the potential is huge and the international dimension they are buiding very very fast to capitalise on first mover advantage. About time for them to raise their FY forecasts as most of this is revenue positive in the current year.

Time to buy at 60p now...looks cheap

Is this new hand held game station from Sony that was featured in some press articles yesterday going to have an adverse effect on this companies profitability. Apparently the Japanese were queuing all night for the equipment.
Reports went onto say that the equipment purchased in Japan retailing circa 160 were fetching in excess of 500 on ebay true or not what will be the effect of this competition

I don't think there is any competition. Afterall SPS have a java standard agreed by Sun! They have also recently announced a partnership with ATI - one of the biggest grahics chips producers. Just my opinion of course, but SPS isn't just about games, its about 3D API's being available to mobile devices in the same way that PC's have great 3D graphics. SPS are just producing a std for small devices. But remember 3D isn't just games (look further than that).

i think SPS are overdue to provide an update and early indications of the impact the new standard phone sales are having on their revenues

Im in sps but worried about the negative press about poor 3g sales, notice a good rebound in vodafone today though.
