THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

"i have a sneaking feeling i might well vote for dennis skinner of he was my MP", I've heard it all now... Alf might vote labour -):

cynic - 21 Oct 2013 16:59 - 31494 of 81564

sometimes, i think (or hope) i would vote for the person rather than the party represented ..... most are even greyer than john major

Fred1new - 21 Oct 2013 16:59 - 31495 of 81564

A quote I use to hear, a man without principles is not a man.

Somebody added he is probably a poor accountant.

I will now go back into hiding.

Cyners, bet you wouldnt say no.....0f0067e55a54d9733ee7a35e0b4e79e8_normal.Luciana Berger‏@lucianaberger3m
asked Ed Davey if the reference price comes in below the strike price how will he ensure difference goes back to consumers? No proper answer

cynic - 21 Oct 2013 17:01 - 31497 of 81564

i am neither :-))
and even fred is happy to sell his principles if the price is right - naughty boy bought RMG and then rationalises about his reasoning

cynic - 21 Oct 2013 17:02 - 31498 of 81564

who she?

goldfinger - 21 Oct 2013 17:05 - 31499 of 81564

Bloody hell, you dont know Luciana, fittest female MP in parliament and labour.

Fred1new - 21 Oct 2013 17:05 - 31500 of 81564

GF.

The individuals who overborrowed, also have responsibility for their own actions ie. not being able to service their debts.

But lessons are to be learnt from mistakes, but this government is repeating them and digging deeper.

cynic - 21 Oct 2013 17:09 - 31501 of 81564

sticky - i see she's one of "my lot" and was educated at my dad's school .... a couple of good reasons to vote for her then :-)

Fred1new - 21 Oct 2013 17:10 - 31502 of 81564

Cynic,

Will you specify the way in which you are using the word "rationalises"?

I am interested in the meaning you are giving the word.

goldfinger - 21 Oct 2013 17:10 - 31503 of 81564

Indeed they are Fred. Looks to me like they are repeating SOME (ill give cynic that)of labours mistakes and at the same time adding their own and turning us into a satelite of China.

dreamcatcher - 21 Oct 2013 17:11 - 31504 of 81564

Cannot believe the queen has not thrown out this government with all the balls ups it has done according to you fred. Where can I get a copy of your reference book, make it up as you go along. :-))

goldfinger - 21 Oct 2013 17:16 - 31505 of 81564

O/Topic.........cynic see chart attack last post. Thinking of going in.

cynic - 21 Oct 2013 17:17 - 31506 of 81564

you bought RMG because you reckoned you could make a profit, even though you ranted (your standard tone) that RMG should never be privatised .... so did you sell your principles, decide opportunism was ok after all even for a died-in-the-wool socialist, or rationalise you reasons for sliding down that slope - or perhaps all 3?

goldfinger - 21 Oct 2013 17:23 - 31507 of 81564

Who bought RMG?.

cynic - 21 Oct 2013 17:23 - 31508 of 81564

You could write your own. You believe the enough fairy stories or borrow the cabinet's they would probably well thumbed and point you to the ones most used.

Cynic,

"Rationalising" has a number of different meanings.

I was acting rationally and realistically, but not attempting moderate my "little" conscious and also was well aware of the multiple interpretations of my actions.

Also, have no remorse, but still think the government is utilising such actions to cover up its increasing long term debt.
