VANE MINERALS, A Cheaper And Lower Risk Route Into The Uranium Market. (VML)

goldfinger - 08 Mar 2005 09:20

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE..

COMPANY WEB SITE.........

http://www.vaneminerals.com/

THE PRICE OF URANIUM IS GOING BALISTIC...

The uranium spot price hasn't seen a down month since 2001. For years now, uranium producers have met just 60% of total annual demand - the other 40% coming from government stockpiles and decommissioned nuclear warheads. This can go on for only so long.

The tightness of supply comes at a time of atomic resurgence. Three large-scale factors have turned the tide in favour of nuclear energy:
geopolitics, global warming and developing world growth.

Analysts are debating over wether the SP of Uranium increase will be three fold within 2007?.

Looks like to me, the best play on the UK market for Uranium and it hasnt gotten away yet like the other two ZBA Zareba and URA Uranium which have multi bagged. Its also in a position to fund its development with a new gold mine producing. Ive added twice this morning and think this one could be very big. Heres the announcement...........

Vane Minerals PLC
07 March 2005

VANE Minerals plc (AIM: VML)

VANE Announces Diversification Into Uranium Exploration And Development

Vane Minerals ('VANE' or 'the Company') announces that it is diversifying its
current project portfolio by entering into the uranium exploration and
development business.

To date 7 uranium targets have been successfully claimed by the Company and 28
further properties have been identified and are under development. VANE expects
to finalise its property position by the end of the first quarter 2005. The
Company is targeting uranium projects that are either at, or near, resource
stage or targets that exhibit similar surface features to mines with past
production, but that have not yet been evaluated for the presence of uranium.

The 35 properties identified are located within a uranium district with
significant past production as well as significant resources. Due to the
current uranium market conditions, we prefer to not identify the location until
we complete our property position. Previous drilling data available for some of
the 7 properties successfully claimed indicate grade intersects from 0.34 up to
1.78% U3O8.

VANE has incorporated a 100% owned subsidiary to hold its uranium properties and
has also successfully recruited a uranium geologist, Kristopher K. Hefton B.Sc.,
who has considerable experience in this field and is a great addition to the
VANE team. Mr. Hefton has worked with VANE's exploration team in the past during
his time at Freeport McMoran, and he has also worked for Barrick Gold
Corporation, Homestake Mining Company and Energy Fuels Nuclear Inc.

Michael Spriggs, Chairman of VANE, commented, 'We are delighted to announce the
addition of these uranium assets to the VANE portfolio and will update the
market with more substantial details once further properties have been claimed.
The uranium market has been strong for some time now, reflecting a long-term
forecast supply shortage and the growing recognition that nuclear energy offers
a cleaner and more energy efficient fuel source. Through our extensive network,
we have identified some quality projects and look forward to releasing further
details when appropriate.'

ateeq180 - 14 Apr 2005 19:58 - 317 of 2220

Very quite day for vml, any one any thoughts as there were no buys at all today a bit worrying.or is it the market overall.

goldfinger - 15 Apr 2005 00:25 - 318 of 2220

Hi Ateeq180, I would say its the market overall having a negative effect on stocks.

Miners are usually poor with PR so please try and be patient with these boys.

cheers Gf

Madison - 15 Apr 2005 00:43 - 319 of 2220

Hi ateeq, the price held up pretty well I thought. No buys because either already bought or waiting for further dip?

I guess many of those who sold today will have bought around the same price, so making little or no profit (or a loss). One has to wonder why they bought in the first place, and I suspect it's often to do with an upcoming uranium announcement. That announcement was anticipated to be a little earlier than we currently expect (round end of this month). That wait's just too much for some, who want to be where the news is everyday. Shame really, because this company could really do very well. Patience is the key. I expect to go sideways for a week or two before the news comes. Nothing's ever certain in life, but Vane have been as clear as they can be that news is on the way on this front (also very soon on Guadalcazar).

As I said above:
If Vane shares were a good idea four weeks ago, based on the uranium sites shortly to be revealed, then they ought to be an even better idea now.
DYOR

Cheers, Madison

Everything seems to of taken a battering so far. When I first started out dealing I got scared if a SP dropped then sold out at a loss cos thought something bad about company. I have learned the hard way. Now I grit my teeth and ride the waves.

Now then, we seem to have missed this piece of news which is very re-assuring and points only to a slight delay and look at the number of propertys now 'on the books' 10 not 7 and still a lot more to come. This could be a real World Beater..............................................

VANE Minerals plc
Update on Uranium Interests

Vane Minerals ("VANE" or "the Company") is continuing to make progress in developing its portfolio of uranium exploration targets.

In the previous announcement (dated 7th March), VANE stated that a total of 35 uranium targets had been identified and were under evaluation, and that seven of these had been successfully claimed. Since then, a number of these remaining claim areas have been staked and three further claims have been granted.

However, the Company announces that adverse weather conditions causing road closures, together with unavoidable external administrative delays, have slightly delayed completion of this phase of the process. The Company expects to have completed programme of target acquisition by the end of April.

The 35 properties identified are located within a uranium district with significant past production as well as significant resources. Due to the currently buoyant uranium market conditions, however, VANE continues to prefer not to identify the location until completion of the Company's property position.

Enquiries: ENDS.

So this should re-assure the market. We have only moved back a few weeks. Pure madness selling. In fact Im going to add later today.

cheers GF.

hawick - 15 Apr 2005 09:33 - 327 of 2220

This thread needs some balance! What have we really got here. A 24 million market cap, 2.4 cash, no turnover, a company using cloak and dagger tactics to explain away its exploration tactics and a delay - 'somewhere or other'.
With years till any of these 'top secret' licences may produce anything, let's hope the delay isn't in the one area where cashflow might be alleviated. Down 15% since I advised caution - further to fall.
I sincerely hope this does not turn out to be another white nile, would you buy a story like this?
No, nor would I.
Vane - or vain?
Dreamers only need apply.

goldfinger - 15 Apr 2005 09:39 - 328 of 2220

LOL, I all think you all know Harwick as a personal axe to grind with me ever since I called his last tip a bargepoler and was correct as it went down on a profit warning last week.

He doesnt even know the company is now self financing poor soul.

I will not be drawn though into his silly game of tit for tat.

cheers Gf.

Buyers coming back into the market now.

cheers GF.

syd443s - 15 Apr 2005 10:24 - 331 of 2220

Just topped up, cant believe people are selling this share. News just around the corner, MMs short of stock and the number of uranium sites has been increased from 7 to 10!!!!

goldfinger - 15 Apr 2005 10:35 - 332 of 2220

Spot on Syd, I beleive there were quite a few day traders who jumped on this when the good news started to come out. The 2 week delay means that for them there money may be better used elsewhere at the moment, but THEY WILL BE BACK, you can count on that.

cheers GF.

hawick - 15 Apr 2005 10:35 - 333 of 2220

GF answers none of my points. Interesting that. Down 15% since i advised caution.

goldfinger - 15 Apr 2005 11:01 - 334 of 2220

Madison you around?, any idea what the spot price of Uranium is doing at the moment?.

cheers Gf.
