Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

Why are the bookies putting up those odds ? no one knows ,it could be a real surprise with a bigger swing than we think.

Bookies are trying to entice customers to have a punt on 'Exit' with attractive odds and trying to offset the large bets on 'IN'. The bookies are clearly confident that 'IN' will carry the day, hence the shorter odds.

IG betting shows 77.5% backing (betting on) remain winning, though their poll analysis also agrees too close to call

Bookies work on the amount of money not the amount of people. I heared that there has been big money on a stay, while lots of small punts on a go. Just vote. Don't be disheartened, do what is right.

A conspiracy believer. I have been to counts before at a GE and it is not possible in this country to fix elections. An official goes with the ballot boxes from the polling stations straight to the count. The boxes are sealed and only opened in front of the count invigilators. The splitting of in out and bundling is done openly as is the count. The totalling of bundles is also done openly and the totals matched to the total numbers who voted at all the polling stations in the count area. The figures are then published and summed at a national level.

Still take a pen or if you use the pencil supplied make sure you
do it with a heavy hand...

You never know some of the counting might be done by cameron or
osborne, or even the IMF, or the other financial geniuses begining with
'I' .....
