new millennium resources (NML)

LEEWINK - 28 Mar 2004 15:45

NML is due its interrim results now, last year it was the 28th of this month.

They are setting up a new site to explore/research/analyse and all the equipment to do this should be on site now, and drilling should start soon, all this extra news should be covered in the interims.

does anyone have any further positive views on this company ??

LEEWINK how about nml no news last week, whats your views on this one.

Baughfell - 20 Jun 2004 08:42 - 34 of 1909

Ateeq,

Most of the NML staff are in Africa working on the getting the mines up and running. The announcement on progress will be made on their return to Oz. A slight delay is not a worry since Angola has only just become politically stable and lacks much basic infrastructure. The potential is definately there though, there is currently only one large commercial mine and Angola has the natural resources to be the world leader in rough diamond production. High quality gems too. There are more details on the website.

NML also has a joint venture with Hudson Resources in Greenland where there is also much potential. HR will soon be conducting an arial geophysics survey - see the HR website for more details.

Load of potential and NML is now at a good price. Will move quickly when good news is released. DYOR.

Exellent info on the diamond potential in Greenland and Hudson Resources, NMLs joint venture partner in Greenland

http://www.stockprofilers.com/hud.htm

Specific extracts below

----------------------------------------
Diamond exploration is a highly speculative business, with no assurance that even a highly promising site will pan out. However, the potential rewards are enormous and the risks are relatively small. Just one small kimberlite pipe measuring 125 metres (400 feet) in diameter from the Lac de Gras region in northern Canada, source of the Ekati and Diavik diamonds, has been estimated to contain US$6 billion in diamonds. While not a valuable as this one, many more pipes are being mined in the region. And mining companies such as Hudson Resources, Inc. have just begun to tap sites in northern Canada and other regions that have similar, if not superior, characteristics for diamond hunting.

Specifically, HUD has obtained exploration licenses for 533 square kilometers (205 square miles) in the Sarfartoq region of West Greenland, where geologic conditions are analogous to those of the big finds in Canada and where initial tests have turned up small diamonds and other stones consistent with diamond-bearing rock. The company also owns an 80% interest in another 765 square kilometers (about 380 square miles) adjacent to its 100% licensed land. Note: NML own the remaining 20% and HUD will shortly be carrying out detailed geophysics on this area in which diamonds have been found and kimberlite is known to exist

----------------------------------------

Demand for Diamonds Grows
Diamond mining is an uncommonly lucrative activity. According to Hudson, five of the 10 most profitable mines in the world are diamond mines. In contrast, none are gold mines. Diamond mines also typically have a very short payback period and offer high return on capital investment compared to other mineral deposits. Hudson cites the example of BHP Billiton, whose 80% stake in the Ekati Mine represents 4.4% of its asset base yet provided 12% of its half-year profit (in the six months ending Dec. 31, 2002).

The price of diamonds also has shown robust growth ever since the Canadian diamond rush got under way in the mid-90s. The demand for this most desired of gemstones seems impossible to exhaust even with new supply coming on line. Between 1995 and 2000, diamond prices increased about 5% per annum, substantially outperforming oil, gold and the Economist Commodity Price Index during that time. More recently, wholesale diamond prices rose 10% in 2003 as demand for diamond jewelry surged once again in the U.S. And so far in 2004, the wholesale giant De Beers has announced two price hikes a 3% increase in January and a 5% rise announced in March

Baughfell,

How did you find out that most of the NML staff are in Africa please?

Baughfell - 20 Jun 2004 17:14 - 37 of 1909

Andy,

I sent a mail to NML last week asking for an update on a number of areas. I got a holding response that the directors were abroad and they would respond on their retrun. Another poster on ADVFN got a reply that news would be released on the Angola operation as soon as the directors got back from Africa.

looking good, onward ...

gurumaister - 29 Jun 2004 08:27 - 39 of 1909

I noticed yesterday that there are a few buys and loads of sells but the price went up all day and only settled back a small amount before closing.

I can't see any news - so what is going on? Has anyone any info or udeas?

LEEWINK - 29 Jun 2004 09:27 - 40 of 1909

there wasn't loads of sells yesterday as you say, 100 or so k, its got 2hr delay, there all mainly buys, compare to a chart, shows how easy it can move, reasons for it is news is possibly extremely imminent now, and on such if its what is expected will rocket.

there were no sells near close, and none today to now, it marked up on 118k buy only, which myself being a holder here for some time, shows strange to say the least, MM mark up I reckon, theyve got sniff of something.

have you read the report above too ??

gurumaister - 29 Jun 2004 10:50 - 41 of 1909

I have now!!

You are right about the sells, LEEWINK - the buys showed up later which made it look like loads of sells (comparatively).

I don't hold a lot but I am getting a bit excited about this one :)

LEEWINK - 29 Jun 2004 13:23 - 42 of 1909

Ive never doubted it since ive been here, if the news of prospecting results alone comes good as expected, well, onward again, the spread is off putting to most, but if you can put a figure on the shareprice this year or next then ask is the spread that much comparing.

gunnergonk - 12 Jul 2004 12:21 - 43 of 1909

had an email back from john cross today. very encouraging just abit behind schedule,
.Thank you for your email and reference to the new website. It is still not quite complete and there will be some additions whereas you can gain immediate access

the London AIM reports. There will also be a Newsletter soon to be made available.

It is now the policy of NMR to focus on our diamond mining activities in Angola. I have just returned from the mine which is close to Saurimo, a provincial capital

city of Lunda Sul Province, which is the centre of diamond mining activities in Angola.

The mine is now established with guards and the geological explorations are complete in the area where we intend to commence operations around end of August.

We have purchased all necessary equipment which is scheduled to leave port of Durban South Africa about 15th of July and will finally get to the mine site and

commissioned about mid August.

All our necessary personnel from machine operators to mine management are recruited, and our Luanda logistics offices are now open and manned.

We are highly confident of a very successful diamond mining venture and look forward to reporting to our shareholders to the affirmative soon.

We thank you for our support of the Company with your shares holding.

Yours truly,

John M.Cross

RNS Number:8470A
New Millennium Resources NL
14 July 2004

NEW MILLENNIUM RESOURCES NL

UPDATE ON ANGOLA PROJECT

New Millennium Resources NL ("NMR" or "the Company") announces significant
progress in the commercial development of its diamond mining interests in
Angola.

The C9 diamond concession in Angola is owned as a joint venture by NMR (34%),
the Angolan state diamond company ENDIAMA (51%) and local group MOMBO (15%). The
concession is located in the north east of Angola in the Lunde Sul Province,
straddling the Rio Chicapa and Rio Luo river systems, both of which contain
diamondiferous gravels.

Measured resources at the C9 diamond project in Angola amount to some
188,000cts, with additional indicated and inferred resources of 3.79Mcts and
4.80Mcts, respectively.

Since acquiring its interest in the C9 concession in December 2003 (through its
wholly owned subsidiary Angola Resources Pty Ltd), NMR has actively pursued the
procurement of equipment for the project. All mining and processing equipment
required for the initial phases of production from the alluvial deposits has now
been acquired in South Africa and is scheduled to reach the mine by the end of
this month. The Company expects the mine to enter production by the end of 2004
and begin to generate significant cash flow shortly thereafter.

Rapid progress is being achieved at the mine site and a fully manned security
camp has been established to prevent any recurrence of the problem of illegal
diamond poaching.

In addition, all key mine personnel, from machinery operators, technical
support, administration personnel and mine and production management, have been
recruited. NMR has established logistics and supply offices in Luanda and their
resident geologist is also now on site.

John Cross, Managing Director of New Millennium Resources NL, said :

"We are highly confident of a very successful start to this exciting and
rewarding new diamond project. We have the resources, the equipment and the
operating personnel in place to develop rapidly a highly profitable diamond
operation".

PRICE 4.75-5.50 pence. Trades over 10,000 shares are delayed in reporting by 2 hours. Up 13.8% on back of this afternoon's news. This is the kickstart the price needed and a rally in the share price may be forthcoming. See upper bollinger band on below chart as it has started rising which normally takes the price up in line with it.

Thankyou very much for posting these details, its most appreciated to see someone see the prospects aswell, may I add that end of year for minestart is to me over exagurated* and should be somewhat prior of that.

To back my claims, they have said already that security has been setup now, new management and miners employed now, further equipments bought, new offices up and running etc etc, as i've said sometime back and this adds to it now, why set all this up for nothing, especially security as we've not even had results of prospecting RNS'd yet.

Onto prospecting, on contacting the firm they are extremely upbeat about the outcomes, and quote - outcomes and results were over what was expected initially.

You will see further up this thread an inserted link to a report I posted, read on page 2, I know what your gonna say, it is cracking !! Now, if the results are better than expected, I see them in line with this report forecast.

All final parts of the puzzle are now slotting in, and at this 5p level I call baseline buying, as once the prospecting results come (probably soon) then we will continue the climb onto minestart and many years of income.

Thanks again sue.

Investtech Analysis after today's close :

Neutral (Short term) - Jul 14, 2004
Has broken through the ceiling of a falling trend channel. This indicates a slower falling rate initially, or the start of a more horizontal development. The stock has marginally broken up through the resistance at p 5.24. An established break predicts a further rise. Poor liquidity (traded 82% of the days, mean 0.79 mill per day) weakens the analysis. The stock is overall assessed as technically neutral for the short term.
