THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Manuel,

If you leave the UK, it is unlikely anybody will notice the hole you leave behind.

Try not to overvalue yourself.

Fred1new - 01 Nov 2013 19:32 - 32073 of 81564

For now, stop disturbing me as I am practising my "end games".

It seems appropriate somehow.

Fred if you leave this , it is unlikely anybody will notice the hole you leave behind.

Give us all a break and Fxxx Offski!

cynic - 01 Nov 2013 19:55 - 32075 of 81564

fred - we have always run a profit-share scheme .... i guess that's why we keep all our staff, but there's a big difference between that and nearly all of it being expropriated by a rapacious exchequer to do with as it (but no one else) sees fit

what of course is so amusing is that you won't even vote

bah! i can think of nothing polite to say to you ... you're just so full of preposterous hard-left socialist (and worse) garbage that i cannot believe you want to live here rather than perhaps somewhere more suited to your apparent ideals like north korea .... no doubt the reality would be too tough for you

Fred1new - 01 Nov 2013 20:20 - 32076 of 81564

Cynic.

Just won an end game.

It seems that you are becoming more and more detached from reality as is Wavey Davey and his henchmen.

But must admit you surprise me that "you" run a profit-share scheme.

My "father's" pit had a similar scheme in the 1940's. It was profitable.

In the early 60s worked with a company who had a 3 monthly bonus scheme.

First time I was offered a job and told I could come back in two years time, if I wished to.

It was profitable.

cynic - 01 Nov 2013 20:33 - 32077 of 81564

shows how out of touch you are from the real world of today, merely forever harking back to "the good old days"
clearly you have reverted to the old "fos fred"

Fred1new - 01 Nov 2013 21:44 - 32078 of 81564

No. Just showing you, that you should catch up!

H/S, Its Saturday and it's time to be sociable so the only stats we need are those from Burnley's Division... OK? -):

Burnley? What is a Burnley?

Prince Charles: One supports Burnley FC

Can we keep that rubbish on the football thread. :-))

Haystack - 02 Nov 2013 17:42 - 32083 of 81564

Is a Burnley like a Bramley? Are they both apples?

cynic - 02 Nov 2013 18:02 - 32084 of 81564

isn't burnley famous for black pudding?

dreamcatcher - 02 Nov 2013 18:07 - 32085 of 81564

Every week theres a pie competition to see who can eat the most pies but since theres only one person in the town he normally wins. It has also been noted that turnips seem to act as some form of currency in takeways but the mathematics behind this system have never been found out by outsiders.

Stan - 02 Nov 2013 18:14 - 32086 of 81564

"isn't burnley famous for black pudding?" No that's Bury.

H/S behave yourself... Ah the Charley boy from Wales fame D/C, I sometimes borrow his season ticket when he can't make it -):

cynic - 02 Nov 2013 18:20 - 32087 of 81564

Bury, Burnley and Bolton are all north of Watford and thus deemed to be one and the same .... Barnsley is a cousin once removed!

The people of Burnley , talentless at almost every aspect of life , actually are great at composing music. It is a well known fact that Burnley is the real birthplace of The Proclaimers, They deny this , but we all know it to be true. Mc'ing is all the rage in Burnley.. Well that's what they call it, really the people who MC in Burnley are ugly twats, who think they are going to become STARS, in other words stay on the social all their lives.
