Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

VICTIM - 22 Jun 2016 16:12 - 3211 of 12628

I've just read on BBC Laura Kuenssberg saying that certain Tory people are saying it's possible that there will be a leadership contest or even resign immediately if the vote is out for Cameron . A bit different to Haystack version .

Denmark will be watching close. Polling suggests there's growing support in Denmark for a referendum there on whether it should leave the EU. Lets hope they will leave and rock the whole Eu. So still problems ahead.

cynic - 22 Jun 2016 16:19 - 3213 of 12628

and hungary and poland and NL and probably a couple of others too

dreamcatcher - 22 Jun 2016 16:22 - 3214 of 12628

Perhaps it will only take one to leave to set off a domino effect.

Stan - 22 Jun 2016 16:40 - 3215 of 12628

Thanks for the link GB, but it's only recordings. The search continues.

dreamcatcher - 22 Jun 2016 16:44 - 3216 of 12628

I just wonder if these business leaders putting warnings out about leaving only really care about their companies succeeding and not Britain?

cynic - 22 Jun 2016 16:47 - 3217 of 12628

no one actually needs to leave; you just need a strong enough public movement within a country to start the sphincters twitching

Fred1new - 22 Jun 2016 16:47 - 3218 of 12628

Should be a good day again tomorrow!

dreamcatcher - 22 Jun 2016 16:49 - 3219 of 12628

Rain all day Fred. :-))

Haystack - 22 Jun 2016 16:49 - 3220 of 12628

Of course. Don't forget that about half the FTSE100 is not even British. They just happen to be on our stock market.

cynic - 22 Jun 2016 16:50 - 3221 of 12628

assume you're talking about shares for a change fred

if so, some strange happenings after hours where cash ftse is showing -44 at 6,264 and cash dax -67 at 10,070 .... and both are still drifting away

meanwhile dow is now only +20

dreamcatcher - 22 Jun 2016 16:51 - 3222 of 12628
