THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

gold have now watched the video 5 times clear as the nose on is face
guilty . the trouble we have is that 50% of MPs are on the fiddle and will protect each other . will any MP bring it up today ?

the video clear as the nose on is face

TANKER - 06 Nov 2013 09:37 - 32284 of 81564

the UK in 2013 people to scared to speak out about corruption
and crime because of being called a racist or a whistleblower
or a trouble maker. this is why crime now pays

cynic - 06 Nov 2013 09:50 - 32285 of 81564

sticky - let's start with the cynical view that all politicians are at least somewhat bent!

Fascist Gazette has certainly had a bloody nose at least once before and further, this guy has reported himself immediately to the relevant House committee ..... it's be interesting to see the result, before which, pretty much all is speculation

Plebgate was an open and shut case wasn't it ...... hmm! later revelations showed that all was not exactly as reported!

And let's not even mention the irrefutable proof of WMD in Iraq!!

MaxK - 06 Nov 2013 09:54 - 32286 of 81564

He cant survive this, call me dave has an election to win.

TANKER - 06 Nov 2013 09:54 - 32287 of 81564

cynic have you watched the video it is quite clear and loud he was out to make millions from being a MP which is against the house of commons rules

if I was caught on video like him their would be no appeal I would be guilty
fact

TANKER - 06 Nov 2013 09:57 - 32288 of 81564

CYNIC . do you not believe your eyes and ears when watching the video or watching it on the news .
he was caught with is trousers round is ankles

cynic - 06 Nov 2013 09:57 - 32289 of 81564

i am happy to wait and see, not that i can get much excited about it eityher way, any more than say reading about simon cowell's baby

TANKER - 06 Nov 2013 09:57 - 32290 of 81564

maxk . if he does not resign or sacked then it is pointless to vote

cynic - 06 Nov 2013 09:59 - 32291 of 81564

MrT .... i'm sure this episode (there are plenty of others from all spectra to choose from too) will keep you and your drinking (drunk?) chums well occupied from opening to closing time for at least the next fortnight

TANKER - 06 Nov 2013 10:01 - 32292 of 81564

cynic if that is your view then your views are not worth reading again
as you have no views .

that is not being dishonourable to you as a person.
but not be interested in some one being greedy by being a MP
is not good

TANKER - 06 Nov 2013 10:03 - 32293 of 81564

cynic I have a great life and loads of money all got by honest ways
would never break the law ,
I am honest and will speak out if something is wrong .
and not scared to say so

now off for a breakfast

cynic - 06 Nov 2013 10:06 - 32294 of 81564

sure as hell i'm not much interested in the tripe you post from opening to closing time

for myself, i'm happy to await judgement based on all the facts and shall not be surprised whichever way that coin falls

Red Ed accused of willfully 'averting' his gaze as he refuses seven times to say he'll reopen vote-rigging probe

Labour leader responded vaguely to questions surrounding the scandal
Mr Miliband said: 'we're determined to deal with what happened in Falkirk'

Former Chancellor Alistair Darling and Labour's Scottish Leader Joann Lamont have called for the investigation to be reopened

Ed Miliband was accused of ‘wilfully averting’ his gaze from the vote-rigging scandal engulfing his party yesterday – as he refused seven times to reopen the inquiry into the activities of the Unite union.

The Labour leader came under fire amid fresh evidence of the extraordinary pressure placed on Lorraine Kane, who sparked claims of Unite attempting to fix the selection of a candidate in Falkirk.

But despite growing evidence of a cover-up, Mr Miliband conceded he had dismissed the new claims on the basis of one phone call to Mrs Kane from a senior Labour official.

The scandal erupted over the summer when Mrs Kane and three other members of her family alleged they had been signed up as members of the Labour Party in Falkirk without their knowledge.

Another revelation! not only is Alf deaf... He's blind as well.

Fred1new - 06 Nov 2013 10:12 - 32297 of 81564

Must check with Hays later what the latest mantra from con party HQ is.

Bing Crosby must be working overtime.

I suppose it will start with it is all due to the previous government or the next one.

========

I wonder if Wavey Dave is going to get his gun boat for the Thames from?

cynic - 06 Nov 2013 10:17 - 32298 of 81564

Stan - more relevant is that i can't get very excited by this whole episode ..... in my cynical opinion, 97.5% of all politicians regardless of the colour of their ties, are bent to a greater or lesser extent or at least sail very close to the wind

do you recollect how 95% of us were gulled by Bambi and Iraq?
that distortion of the truth was far more tragic and far-reaching than a few quid purloined (or not) by assorted MPs
even more disgusting, are the swags and swags of cash still being trawled in by "that man"

Haystack - 06 Nov 2013 10:21 - 32299 of 81564

It is not a party political problem. It is more to do with the way we recruit and pay for MPs. There have been corrupt MPs from all parties. Like cynic, I am happy to wait for Parliament to report.

Stan - 06 Nov 2013 10:27 - 32300 of 81564

Excited? What's excitement got to do with it? Your meant to be feel ripped off, thought of as an absolute Prat for voting for them, supporting and defending such corrupt and or Crony conduct on "your" behalf... Unless of course you secretly expect and condone such activity.

TANKER - 06 Nov 2013 10:33 - 32301 of 81564

stan well put .

Fred1new - 06 Nov 2013 10:45 - 32302 of 81564

I am sure that I am not the only pure and perfect individual on earth, but there are very few of us.

However, if I am ever found out, I hope that I can walk away with my pockets full!
