Is somebody getting kayak bumped off then so we all have a chance :-))

Seriously looking forward to it again.

hewittalan6 - 21 Oct 2005 18:42 - 326 of 550

Game on!!!
Best of luck everybody.
Based on my real investments recently, I'm just gonna short everything I'm long on and vice versa. Definite winner if I do that!!! And with the way I've been investing I could do with the 10 grand!!

I'm going to give Kayak such a kicking alan ,trust me ,i think i came 1950th last time ,but i'm coming back with a vengeance, there's a company doing hypothetical holidays for midgets in Iceland ,it's all done over the internet ,i'll explain it later ,it's going to be huge .

hewittalan6 - 22 Oct 2005 09:25 - 328 of 550

Jimmy,
You've no chance. Try shares in Buyit, Floggit & Hope PLC. They are opening a kosher bacon warehouse in Jerusalem and have just got FDA approval for a Halal cabbage slaughterhouse near Islamabad. the prospectus looks great and it neatly explains why the directors went bankrupt recently with their solar powered torch that did away with the heavy energy storage unit. Poor lambs nearly lost their villas on Corsica over that one, and one of them was so skint by it he missed a service on his Lambourghini Countach.
Anyway they deserve better with this new idea, and I'm gonna make a fortune going very long on it. Kayak says he will short it AND have a few grand with Ladbrokes they will go bust inside a month, but what does he know?
Religious foodstuffs, thats the future.
Alan

PS there is also a rumour going round that they have secured a major celebrity to front their massive advertising campaign for their new condom range. Can't say who it is yet but He's an old guy who lives in Vatican city. Don't tell the rest though, a nods as good as a wink.

akel44 - 22 Oct 2005 16:55 - 329 of 550

i need a little help here, rule 12 confuses me
i will open with 2 shares, i will then close one of them
and put all i have in the other, but the nms is only 20.000 x 3=60,000 at 1p
does that mean i can only buy 600 worth at once,

akel44 - 22 Oct 2005 17:44 - 330 of 550

you have to open with 10,000 on each of two shares

akel44 - 23 Oct 2005 15:44 - 331 of 550

Trade Size Restriction
Your trade volume is restricted to a maximum of 3 times the normal market size for any stock. The normal market size is shown on the trade ticket.

come on some one must know the answer,
one of my two opening trades is 60.000 max at 1p=600
but you must stake 10,000, does this mean i cant buy what i wish

SueHelen - 23 Oct 2005 16:09 - 332 of 550

Hi akel,

First of all you have to validate your entry. You will do this by buying a minimum 10,000 pounds worth of shares in two different stocks. Forget everything about the market size....just buy into 2 stocks simultaneously tomorrow for between 10,000-50,000. For example, I will buy 10,000 worth in ..... and another 10,000 worth in ......You have to buy into 2 different stocks to validate your entry. This is clearly stated in the below paragraph:

"start playing the game and to validate your entry, you must open two positions (buy/short stock) in different companies, each position must be for a minimum of 10,000 and a maximum of 50,000 each".

akel44 - 23 Oct 2005 17:21 - 333 of 550

so i can i still buy 50,000 worth on my first choice at 1p
if there is a trading limit of 60.000, which only equals 600

SueHelen - 23 Oct 2005 17:33 - 334 of 550

Yes Akel your first statement is correct....you can put 50,000 worth in your first choice at 1 pence even if there is a set trading limit which equals to just 600.

Is it the below statement that is puzzling you akel44 ????

Trade Size Restriction
Your trade volume is restricted to a maximum of 3 times the normal market size for any stock. The normal market size is shown on the trade ticket.

The market size for any stock that is referred to in the above statement is not the same normal market size as you would see in one your stocks that you trade normally in. The normal market size here refers to the amount of free cash you have to invest and depending on that you will get a quote on how many shares you can purchase.

akel44 - 23 Oct 2005 17:45 - 335 of 550

yes thats what was puzzling me,

what i plan to do is buy millions of my first choice at 1p (50,000 worth)
buy 10,000 worth in the other (which i will then sell)
then put everything i have in credit on my first choice,
so i will have everthing riding on one company

will that be ok

SueHelen - 23 Oct 2005 17:49 - 336 of 550

Yes that will most definitely be OK Akel44.

GoodLuck.

Have a wonderful evening.

akel44 - 23 Oct 2005 17:54 - 337 of 550

ta sue

IanT(MoneyAM) - 23 Oct 2005 19:50 - 338 of 550

ok, just to clarify.

You can only buy 3 times the listed NMS therefore, if you buy/sell a share which is low in price and with a small NMS you will most likely not be able to use this to validate your account.

Once you have validated your account you will still be bound by the NMS of any given stock you buy. Therefore, you can only ever buy 3 times the NMS regardless

Ian

SueHelen - 23 Oct 2005 20:07 - 339 of 550

O thankyou very much for that Ian....It wasn't as clear in the rules.

Hope you followed that Akel...re: Ian's post.

akel44 - 24 Oct 2005 08:10 - 340 of 550

i just tried to buy 1000000@1.6p but wont work

IanT(MoneyAM) - 24 Oct 2005 08:13 - 341 of 550

akel,

If it is 3 times the normal NMS then you cannot do this - you can only buy/sell up to 3 times the NMS on any stock.

Ian

hewittalan6 - 24 Oct 2005 08:16 - 342 of 550

Ian,
BGY is not showing up for buy or sell.
