Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

dreamcatcher - 22 Jun 2016 20:09 - 3244 of 12628

My vote was posted a fortnight ago.

MaxK - 22 Jun 2016 20:11 - 3245 of 12628

What surprises me is the number of under 25's who say (supposedly) they will vote in.

Are they mad? Can they not look across the channel to see what is happening to their age group??

grannyboy - 22 Jun 2016 20:19 - 3246 of 12628

What some of these university graduates have got to realize, if the vote
is to remain and Southern European countries deteriorate further, more will
travel to this country seeking graduate jobs, thus making these positions
tighter then they already are, will then find out first hand what the problems
of the unskilled workers have had to contend with over the last 12 years..

iturama - 22 Jun 2016 20:22 - 3247 of 12628

Its what they do. That's why Labour and the SNP want to lower the voting age. Eventually they grow up, have responsibilities and recognise the error of their ways. With some notable exceptions.

Claret Dragon - 23 Jun 2016 04:57 - 3248 of 12628

If UK stays ın EU then I have made my fınal vote.

Is it worth the aggravation
To find yourself a job when there's nothing worth working for?
It's a crazy situation
But all I need are cigarettes and alcohol

Coming of Age.

VICTIM - 23 Jun 2016 08:09 - 3251 of 12628

Well I watched that referendum prog with Paxman after the football , felt good because Italy got beat , but thought it poor , too much interference even from Paxman , too limited a time on subjects , why oh why do we constantly have to have celebrity input . Sheila Hancock , Sandie Shaw , what was that all about , dreadful .

jimmy b - 23 Jun 2016 08:15 - 3252 of 12628

Yes and didn't you just wish that Anna Soubry would shut up !

cynic - 23 Jun 2016 08:17 - 3253 of 12628

3236 - certainly my younger son will vote "remain" ...... don't know the intent of my other two children, but i'm pretty confident they won't abdicate responsibility

==============

fred - will you break the habit of a lifetime and actually cast a vote?

Fred1new - 23 Jun 2016 08:21 - 3254 of 12628

More likely to give up life.

cynic - 23 Jun 2016 08:27 - 3255 of 12628

one can but live in hope

grannyboy - 23 Jun 2016 08:30 - 3256 of 12628

It was just one big stitch up..I've never seen such a BIASED debate in my life.

When it was the LEAVERS chance to speak they got totally blanked, and the
time Paxman asked Hilton a question, that Starkey twat interupted and
Paxman just let him carry on until Hilton pulled paxman up and said he'd just
asked him a question but was not allowed to start it never mind finish it..

It was a total disgrace and that hancock was a dozy rambling trollop.

MaxK - 23 Jun 2016 08:40 - 3257 of 12628

That Soubry bint is a piece of work.

Dave missed an opportunity there, he should have got her to negotiate with the €urobuns, they wouldn't have stood a chance.

cynic - 23 Jun 2016 08:44 - 3258 of 12628

GB - interesting you should say that ..... yesterday evening's news was also heavily slanted in favour of "remain" and in some quite subtle ways too ..... my wife was very cross and nearly phoned BBC to complain

Joe Say - 23 Jun 2016 08:46 - 3259 of 12628

She should do

but more importantly whatever the result - don't vote for those core parties/individuals ever again

Use your vote wisely

Fred1new - 23 Jun 2016 08:50 - 3260 of 12628

Light a bonfire with it!

VICTIM - 23 Jun 2016 08:54 - 3261 of 12628

Complaining to the BBC is probably a waste of time , having watched points of view a few times in the past , they just brush it off really .

cynic - 23 Jun 2016 09:00 - 3262 of 12628

V - absolutely so and it's after the event anyway

REFERENDUM RESULT
i am very happy to live with whatever result comes in, though "remain" is pretty much a racing certainty
i just hope that it will be close enough to ignite a strong movement across many eu member states for root and branch reform, for in truth that is what is really required

it seems to have been forgotten that the whole basic concept was to form a strong economic bloc, which would inevitably have some political undertones
now, it is almost entirely political - eg full speed ahead for a federal europe - with the true economic concept almost tertiary or lower

the obese plutocracy that runs the whole jamboree has similarly become obscenely wasteful in almost every way imaginable

MaxK - 23 Jun 2016 09:02 - 3263 of 12628

Yet people vote for more.
