THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

any human that believes their is a GOD is a complete dimwit a simpleton
we live on a very small pebble flying round a massive solar system .
that one day will wipe it out .
Stephen Hawkins will give you the facts GOD is a fairy tale for the
low life of the earth giving them hope while they are raped murdered
and used for the rich .

god is a fairy tale and any one who thinks he is real is a dreamer
who as no life
get on with your short life and just enjoy it while you can

A slight improvement

Update - Labour lead at 5
by YouGov in Politics
Sun November 10, 2013 6 a.m. GMT

Latest YouGov / The Sunday Times results 8th November - Con 34%, Lab 39%, LD 10%, UKIP 11%;

Fred1new - 10 Nov 2013 12:32 - 32522 of 81564

Improvement?

8-)

Haystack - 10 Nov 2013 12:51 - 32523 of 81564

Improvement in the polling figures, improvement in the economy, improvement in employment, improvement in immigration, improvement in UK faster than all of the EU.....

cynic - 10 Nov 2013 14:49 - 32524 of 81564

it doesn't say much for ed millipede and his bunch that despite the conservatives very best efforts, labour is still struggling badly to establish a meaningful poll lead, meaningless as those generally are

as it stands, another hung parliament must assuredly be on the cards, though it will also be interesting to see what backwash emanates from the unite / mcluskey "conspiracy" .... is it really any wonder that no one trusts labour any more than the present crew?

Fred1new - 10 Nov 2013 14:54 - 32525 of 81564

For whom?

Bye the way.

Can't remember how the conners sold their policies, but see that the economy improved since they started adopted Ed Ball's policies.

cynic - 10 Nov 2013 14:59 - 32526 of 81564

what is the above post meant to show, let alone prove?

i suspect some sort of silly swipe at the present bunch, but if so, what did you (fred) do to stop them returning (nb) to power?
absolutely diddly-squat as you refused to vote, and that being so, what right do you have to gripe at all?
none at all, is the obvious and fair conclusion

Haystack - 10 Nov 2013 15:23 - 32527 of 81564

But look at it up to the election

Fred1new - 10 Nov 2013 16:12 - 32528 of 81564

Cynic,

Are you on the bottle?

What I like is watching a poor loser cringing and spluttering.

Shows us you picture.

Have not learnt much from this thread, but what I have learnt is priceless. If you think I will be going on about the Con party on a money am thread when I retire and on a Sunday of all days. Very sad all I can say.

Stan - 10 Nov 2013 16:28 - 32530 of 81564

Your request is my command Fredrick.. The splutterer in all his glory.

A rare but increasingly common picture of the right "horrible" our very own Alfred Manuel Andrew Jeremy Cynic... Assuredly -):

cynic - 10 Nov 2013 17:00 - 32531 of 81564

what a silly pair you are indeed

Fred1new - 10 Nov 2013 17:13 - 32532 of 81564

Cynic and Hays,

At least the Mayor of Toronto admits to smoking Crack Cocaine.

Stop deluding yourselves.

What has the con party achieved over the last wasted 3 years?

If you can still read this late in the day, try this.

The words are quite simple.

The success story of the con party and their administrative skills.

Read about the mismanagement due to the Lansley and hunt 's thought-out reorganisation.

CRAZY.

Fred
You need to be more selective with you you quote . It is not surprising that Nicholson is not in agreement with the present government.

Nicholson was educated at Forest Fields Grammar School in Nottingham, and graduated from Bristol Polytechnic (now known as the University of the West of England) with a 2:1 in History and Politics.

He joined the Communist Party of Great Britain after graduation,[2][3] and remained a member of the party until 1983

apprenticeships
among a number of interesting articles in ST, like surging uk growth etc, that with luck would make fred choke and stan just splutter a bit, was one on apprenticeships - a little fave of mine

it seems that these have jumped from 175,000 in 2005/6 to 500,000 in 2011/12, and there's much more to it than that - find and read for yourselves!

however, what caught my eye, was that "apprentices in england fall broadly into 3 levels" , the lowest of those mentioned being "intermediate which is the equivalent of 5 GCSEs"

what i would find interesting - this long article concentrated on higher grade apprenticeships - is how young and academically failing or even failed, or just plain unsuited 16-year-olds can be brought into these sort of schemes .....

as i have mentioned before, i don't hear our local schools - we have several very good and "standard" ones in the immediate area - asking local businesses for help in this area, or for senior management of companies of all types and sizes to come in on a regular basis to talk to the students

perhaps the schools just avoid me (who could blame them), but i fear that is not the case
