Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

I have been having some a problem connecting to MAM from Demon ISP since yesterday evening. Are you aware of any issues? I get the first screen (www.moneyam.com) very quickly but trying to get into the traders room is taking a long time. Its OK once I get in.

UI have not had a chance to investigate it properly but it could be some sort of routing/DNS issue?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 22 Jun 2005 07:58 - 3260 of 7315

Spaceman,

I am not aware of any problems with that ISP. The system has been operating as normal during that time period, so it does look like something at your end or with the ISP.

IanT, its not the ISP as such all other sites are fine, MAM is fine once I get in but getting from the front to the traders room is a problem. This isnt the first time I have had this issue. I have to go to work now but if its still playing up when I get home I will try and investigate a bit more. I have a feeling there is a routing issue.

Spaceman - let me know how you get on,

Ian

Harlosh - 22 Jun 2005 08:20 - 3263 of 7315

Same problem here. Front page to the traders room or other areas of the site is oh sooooo slowwwwwwww. Also been getting page not found this morning.
This has been going on intermittently for a couple of weeks now.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 22 Jun 2005 08:22 - 3264 of 7315

Harlosh,

There are no problems at this end - what ISP do you use out of interest? Have you made any changes to your pc recently? Have there been any automated updates on any software you may be running? Can you try clearing out your temporary internet files to see if this makes any difference?

Ian

Harlosh - 22 Jun 2005 08:26 - 3265 of 7315

Ian,

I've cleared my temp files so see how that goes.
Only slow on MaM though. No other sites.

Sorry, ISP is Ntl world

IanT(MoneyAM) - 22 Jun 2005 08:32 - 3266 of 7315

Harlosh,

Thanks - let me know what happens - does it happen at any particular time of day or just as and when. For example, if you log off now and then try again is it ok or do you experience slowness?

Ian

Kayak - 22 Jun 2005 11:48 - 3267 of 7315

ISAT (new issue) not on intraday and streaming charts (historical charts OK).

IanT(MoneyAM) - 22 Jun 2005 11:55 - 3268 of 7315

Kayak,

I will speak to our supplier and get them to rectify this,

Ian

Just got back from work and its working fine again. This problems happens fairly often and it is only ever MAM that I get it with. Next time it happens I will try and investigate a bit more.

MightyMicro - 22 Jun 2005 22:24 - 3270 of 7315

Spaceman:

If you have that problem again, it may be worth trying a tracert to see where the delay or clag-up is occurring. I don't understand why you would get to MAM and then experience a long delay getting to the BB from the homepage.

Are you still logged in (session still active) when this happens or does the login page get thrown up first?

Spaceman - 22 Jun 2005 22:49 - 3271 of 7315

Derek, i think but i am not 100% sure that i was not logged in. I thought earlier that this could be routing but that seems unlikely now. i will do a traceroute next time but i think that will be fine to www.moneyam.com, are the traders threads etc on the same machine as the front page?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 23 Jun 2005 07:38 - 3273 of 7315

There is currently a problem with the displaying of RNS news stories on the site - I have contacted our supplier to get them to take a look into this for me. This is only affecting the RNS service not AFX or other news sources.

Ian

IanT(MoneyAM) - 23 Jun 2005 07:54 - 3274 of 7315

RNS should now be back on line - apologies for the inconvenience,

Supplemental to previous post, the same problem exists with the 5-day intraday for AHT.
