In the recent Agm the chairman said "the company has made a positive start to the financial year and the board remains optimistic about prospects for the business."

Pre-tax losses have also nearly halved from 6.4 mln to a loss of 3.4 mln on cost cutting. They have also had a successful fund raising.

Also chart indicators show that it may be time for the next leg upwards past recent resistance at 7.5p. and please remember you are responsible for the timing of your own buying and selling actions.

Result of EGM

ID Data plc announces that following its extraordinary general meeting held
earlier today, the resolution relating to the issuance of new ordinary shares in
respect of the acquisition of CardBASE Technologies Limited and related matters
was duly passed.

Ouch this is a much bigger drop, nowt like good news to put a share into freefall ???????????????????

thougt new shares issued at 7p or did I misunderstand ...........again?

iSSUED AT 7P IS CORRECT....THE INSTITUTIONS APPARENTLY PAID 7P. THE SHARE PRICE SHOULD SOON START MOVING UP.

the institutions also backed ELH at 7p .im a holder but losing faith

I can buy via Saga on line (not the cheepest) at 4.97 so some of the trades listed as sell could/should be buy.
it would be nice to see these at 7p would be my 1st. time in profit

buying doesnt help this share.i think all holders are doomed

things looked so promising a few weeks ago.whats gone wrong ? most other stocks trade above the placing offer.i would have thought this would be above 7p

Preliminary Results for the year ended 31 March 2004


ID Data plc, the smart-card systems company, today reports its preliminary
results for the year ended 31 March 2004.


Highlights

Turnover of 11.25 million, a 43% reduction compared to the previous year, due to the previous one-off
effect of the Nectar Loyalty card launch in 2002

Pre-tax loss of 5.1 million compared to 3.4 million last year

Ongoing fixed operating costs reduced by 1.6 million

Since the year end:

Controlling interest taken in OneEighty Software, the developers of Origin-J

Significant new contracts won with GE Capital and Citicorp

Acquisition of CardBASE Technologies

Growing demand for bank chip-and-pin technology is expected to add significantly to sales and profit
opportunities during the next financial year
