MEDICAL MARKETING, A Speculative Punt That Might Reap Rich Rewards (MMG)

goldfinger - 01 Sep 2004 15:33

This ones a heck of a specualive investment but it seems that the institutions are willing to stomp up the cash to back it in the long term.

Heres the latest news from Killik stocbrokers on the company..........

MEDICAL MARKETING Joint Venture

We recently highlighted Medical Marketing (MMG) as worthy of attention. The company, in which I have a personal share holding, has this morning announced the formation of a joint venture, Genvax, to develop a novel DNA vaccine platform technology.

Human trials have been underway since 2001 in areas such as Lymphoma and Myeloma but the technology has broad applications in cancer, viral and bacterial infections (hence the term platform). The technology works on boosting the immune system by teaching it to identify hard to recognise cancer proteins as foreign and destroy them. Early results from the 25 patient trial in lymphoma are encouraging and evaluation of the result is expected by March 2005. Successful results should mean big pharmaceutical groups will start to take financial and commercial interests around that time.

This looks to be the first of a series of announcements due from Medical Marketing as it has a range of predominantly cancer trials moving into the clinical stage. (news flow could push the price higher)

The stock has made good progress in recent sessions up to the mid-80p level where the company is valued at just under 40 million. ENDS.

Please DYOR

cheers GF.

Still think 150 short term guys,??

goldfinger - 15 Feb 2005 11:58 - 329 of 2444

Most certainly. I just cant beleive some of the MMs marking of prices today.

Cobra is all buys and well over 100,000 bought and it moves up a skinny 1/2p, same with orca buys well exceed sells and they mark it down 5p. Must be trainees on the floors this week with it being half term for the kids.

cheers GF.

rob308 - 15 Feb 2005 18:44 - 344 of 2444

Stick in there jimmy the upside of this share is explosive...... so many potentialy world changing products.......... I have been in for five years now. cheers . rob

mitzy - 15 Feb 2005 19:50 - 345 of 2444

Any price predictions Rob....the next 18 months for instance..

rob308 - 15 Feb 2005 19:58 - 346 of 2444

Its tough to call Mitzy, but for every product that is licensed, approved, finalised etc. consolidation is formed.. i cannot see the sp ever dropping below p100 again unless there is a major market crash..

If progress can be made on just two more products within the next six months I forsee p200 by year end.... thats being conservative!

However I regard MMG at present price and even at 2 greatly undervalued.......

18 months?????????? p350 again being conservative

I will continue to buy to p300 and watching progress and results very closely.

I have to agree with you Rob...I am holding for the next 10 months as they may well pull it off with a major licencing deal which will give them earnings.. 200p will do nicely.
And its strange as I have a target of 350p within the next 18 months too..

Of course if Ruthenium passes phase 3 trials we are talking about a price 10 times that today.
