Ah well. We tried hard.

11/10 for Louis Suarez. Well done.

Dil - 19 Jun 2014 21:55 - 3287 of 6918

I'm going for a pint now ... once I've wiped the tears from eyes :-)

Chris Carson - 19 Jun 2014 21:55 - 3288 of 6918

FFS Real Madrid make an offer for Suarez Liverpool cannot refuse. Dread to think what he would have done tonight fully fit. Some player.

goldfinger - 19 Jun 2014 21:56 - 3289 of 6918

Thats it, we got what we deserved.........nothing.

Bring back the Home Internationals at least we might have a chance of a win.

Light years behind some of these other teams.

We cant even bring a ball down and control it.

Are they worth all that money they get in the premiership?? no chance.

MaxK - 19 Jun 2014 22:07 - 3290 of 6918

the premiership seems to be largely made up of foreign players, why not try training up some of our own?

Stan - 19 Jun 2014 22:10 - 3291 of 6918

We have one, Danny Ings has been on fire all season but left at home.

goldfinger - 19 Jun 2014 22:13 - 3292 of 6918

Thats it then all over, was going to spend three weeks watching it and relaxing. Not worth bothering now.

Wouldnt mind but Ive got 15 cases of Stella sitting in the corner...........wasted.

The moves leading up to Rooney's goal were truly brilliant.

And what about Ian Wright's family's burglary back home in England, where his wife and two girls were subjected to a knife point 'four man' robbery attempt?

Sheesh! How terrible! More on it at: http://news.sky.com/story/1285266/ian-wright-angry-as-family-burgled-at-knifepoint

That was as much a poor performance as it was good against Italy....the defense is far too slow and lacking stamina and rapidity.....and to me balls into the penalty area should be ultra fast rebounding against defenders with our players jumping on to the rebounds and not casual balls at the goalkeeper....very disappointing...and I'm afraid that Hart should have come out to intercept Suarez's oncoming with the ball....that defense needs sorting....Italy might win tomorrow....and they might just beat Uruguay as well....it's asking a lot really...possible but improbable....

jimmy b - 19 Jun 2014 23:06 - 3295 of 6918

It was obviously going to end in tears ,i really feel for you lot , i actually got involved and found myself shouting at the tv ,thats your fault ..

jimmy b - 20 Jun 2014 00:00 - 3302 of 6918

Now whats there not to like about Wimbledon , beats watching that fat guy stuff two goals in against England ...

Gausie - 20 Jun 2014 06:04 - 3303 of 6918

My money's on Liverpool for next season - the way Gerrard linked up with Suarez for that final goal was poetry.

And as for England's hopes of beating Costa Rica, I doubt they could beat Costa Coffee at the moment.

The only good news relates to the England shirt I bought from Amazon. They have a 14 day returns policy.

skinny - 20 Jun 2014 06:49 - 3304 of 6918

Just watched the high(sic)lights - I stopped watching England's matches live years ago - they always deliver - nothing.

At least some of us on here have seen England win a World Cup, but I doubt our grandchildren will do the same.

Remind me again, why some of those Premiership (sic) players are worth the wages?

Premier League Player Salaries (Club by Club)

Manchester United Players Salaries 2014 – Man Utd Wage Bill

The numbers apart - Rooney worth 50% more than Luis Suárez - really!
