Task Manager: right click on an empty spot on the taskbar, select Task Manager, select Processes tab, look for a process called 'msimn' and check CPU column (it's a percentage).
The Store Folder option will give you the full folder name of the message store. It may be longer than the display width of the box. In Windows Explorer take each bit between the slashes and go down, starting at C:/ or whatever your disk is called (not at Desktop).

Oh boy- I can now only get Outlook Express open by pressing Start/run, then typing in msimn.exe/OK
So, in other words, all normal icons have disappeared, can I get them back?
Kayak, after typing Tools/Options/Maintenance/Store Folder
I get Your personal message store is located in the following folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\Johnny\Local Settings\Application Data
but still can't find this in Windows Explorer

hodgins, have you checked for virus/trojans? also I suggest that you urgently check that your hard disk is not full and that your hard disk does not have serious errors. Has it been making odd noises recently? it could be about to fail.
good luck.

hodgins, there is more text to the right of what you have posted. You will have to click on the field and move the cursor to the right to see it.

Thanks! Clean inbox, offenders deleted and deleting again.
Only 1 problem left. Since, I spoke to ISP provider earlier in the day all Outlook Express icons gone.
I can open Outlook Express by clicking Start/run, typing msimn.exe/OK
but icons gone from Start/Desktop/Quick Start
I will happily go to bed if i can get these back.

You might have an icon left in Start/Programs which you can copy elsewhere (ctrl-drag), otherwise go to c:\program files\outlook express, right click on msimn.exe and select Create Shortcut. It will place it in the same folder and you can then drag it or copy (ctrl-drag) it to the Start Menus, desktop or quick start as you wish.

Mega - I have an O2 data card - very useful when away although 3G coverage is limited atm but even on GPRS the speed is bearable for browsing - even Moneyam streaming - and fine for e mail. So long as you don't keep bringing up new pages and/or downloading large attachments/graphics/programmes the data download stays reasonable and I can manage withing the 36mb/month allowance on my plan.

I see that to hear some stuff on some sites one has to have 'RealPlayer' installed. I've read about some bad things being associated with this particular piece of software (Malware-type things, etc, etc) and so have always been reluctant to use it.
Has anyone got any comments or recommendations about which FREE RealPlayer to use?

I found real player a pain too, everytime I used it it said it was going onto the net to upgrade, it only upgraded pop-ups as far as I could see, seldom use it.

I've just replaced the print head on my Canon inkjet printer as it's had a short hard life, but wondering if the old print head can be rejuvenated in some way.
From the look of it it seems that the ink outlets are a bit like the foil on an electric shaver, very thin and easily broken, and I appear to have a few extra holes (but microscopically small ones) so my guess is no.
However, tempted to soak it in ethyl alcohol for a couple of hours and sit around getting high on the smell whilst doing so. Will this work? (The print head, not the getting high bit).
