Galleon Holdings (GON)

banjomick - 15 Jun 2004 08:48

INTELLIGENT INVESTING WITH BANJO,well sort of! (Ed-hmmmm-lol)

Galleon Holdings plc has three key divisions:Galleon Entertainment for entertainment type IP,Croco Worldwide for product IP,Phoenix for interactive TV services for broadcasters in China/South East Asia which includes Robot Information Technology (Lushy Assets ('Yunbo')) who are a wireless interactive platform service provider in China who will work alongside Phoenix to enable GON to hold on to a greater part of the generated revenue and so increase the profit margin......think that's the plan! :-)

This makes Galleon Holdings a 'One Stop Shop' to develop and complete new and existing IP's.

Good close to the day, banjo.

banjomick - 09 Oct 2006 17:15 - 338 of 1609

If i'm reading it right then yes very good,SF.

Will have a look at todays 'A' in greater detail tonight but looking at it now, this could bring positive news through out the development with Sony.

Further updates on Skunk FU as the publicity machine kicks in as we near it's global airing.

Hoo Ha House,lots of potential.

Its been a while since i posted, well just over a year in fact and hopefully my comments on page 4 are starting to come true.
Well done banjomick for keeping faith with this and keeping the thread alive .I have often popped in and read your posts.Well its back to lurking in the background for me for a while.

banjomick - 09 Oct 2006 18:20 - 340 of 1609

Evening db66,
Good to hear from you again and thank you for the complement.

I think i started this thread in frustration and it became my irrelevant place to practice html and prattle on-lol

Since then I have started to improve things somewhat.....I hope.

Anyways, still a long way to go but after today's news along with what I am sure would have got us moving upwards on it's own ie Skunk Fu,things are looking good.

PS I can't forget to give Croco a mention!

banjomick - 09 Oct 2006 21:27 - 341 of 1609

Over the last year Galleon Holdings has turned a corner and transformed a company only delivering false hopes into a forward looking company that is now respected within the industry. The restructured management team set out their goals to provide a complete in house service for IPR from development to completion which has already started to bear fruit.

banjomick - 10 Oct 2006 20:12 - 342 of 1609

A few people taking a profit which is not surprising after the charge upwards.

banjomick - 10 Oct 2006 22:09 - 343 of 1609

Further news this week? Possibly!

Press coverage this weekend? Very possibly!

18p by end of week? Most definitely..................well ok Possibly :-)

Thought this chart might explain why this thread has gon on and on and on...Luckily i've learn't a lot since them there early days.

Hopefully that's scared any new people (Ed-what people?) entering this local thread for local ...well me.

On a seriarse note,If you look at the Galleons prospects over the next few months and beyond ie Sony then it is pretty obvious the Galleon has turned around with fresh wind in her sails.....

Galleon and Sony BMG agreement

Galleon plc is pleased to announce that it has signed an exclusive agreement
with Sony BMG Music Entertainment (UK), one of the world's leading music
companies, to develop and launch a multi-platform global entertainment property.

The property, Apollo's Pad, uses character based comedy and breakthrough
animation technology to revitalise everyone's favourite songs in a way that can
be broadcast through traditional channels such as TV as well as through online
and mobile platforms.

Under the terms of the agreement Galleon will establish a dedicated team to work
with Sony BMG to combine Galleon's expertise in creating and commercially
exploiting entertainment-based intellectual property with Sony BMG's music
expertise, infrastructure and global reach. Galleon will be responsible for
managing the project through production, broadcast (on air, online and through
mobile technology) and licensing and merchandising. Sony BMG will manage music
production, rights clearance and exploitation through digital and retail sales
of music content.

Initially each party will retain ownership of their own intellectual property
but under the terms of the agreement, Sony BMG has the option to acquire for
cash a minority equity stake in the project. The project is expected to launch
in summer 2007.

Clive Rich, Senior Vice President Sony BMG, said 'Today's multi-platform
consumer expects great visual and audio content delivered to them when and
where they want it. Galleon's intellectual property allows us to do this in a
unique and ownable way.'

Galleon's CEO Stephen Green said 'This is a landmark deal for Galleon, and has
the potential to transform the company's entertainment business in a quantum
way. Sony BMG's expertise in music talent, rights management and its global
infrastructure for exploitation makes them the perfect partner for us. This
strategic alliance represents a huge endorsement of the project which will add
momentum to discussions with broadcasters, sponsors and other strategic and
commercial partners.'

Banjo - Not intended as a criticism but your chart above (Post 343) is rather confusing, suggesting that Galleon has shown a large decline over the last two years. Where do you get the 100p - 120p range from (assuming the y-axis is sp)?

I know that you know the following, but for any new punters out there, here is a potted history of the sp in recent times:

At the end of 2003 and into the start of 2004 the mid-price was approximately 1p. Over the first two quarters of 2004, this steadily dropped to about 0.25p. In August 2004, the company proposed a share consolidation of 100 old shares for 1 new share in an attempt to reduce the bid/sell spread. The closing mid-price on the first day of dealing in the new consolidated shares was 24p. From that date to present the price has drifted slowly downward with the occasional upward spike with newsflow. It has never been above 24.5p since.

Taking all this into account, the drop in the Galleon sp is not as dramatic as your chart would suggest.

As I said, not intended as a criticism (you do a wonderful job with your research keeping us all updated on this thread) but I didn't want your strange chart to put off any new investors.

LOL

EDIT: Banjo, I see now where you have got the chart from - this website. The trouble is, is that it is wrong. It is interpreting previous price information based on the 100:1 consolidation but has got it arse about face!

banjomick - 11 Oct 2006 18:24 - 347 of 1609

Evening SF,
I think the chart is correct in that I bought for 1.09p in 2004 so with the 100:1 that would bring it to 109p which is where I drew the line.

banjomick - 11 Oct 2006 19:27 - 348 of 1609

Overall I think that chart is a positive sign and gives an idea of possible SP position that can be achieved now that the Galleon has restructured itself along with picking IP and identifying other areas that are money generating.

SF,Thank you for your post by the way and feel free to criticise or point out any problems that you,or anybody else for that matter, sees.
