My money's on Liverpool for next season - the way Gerrard linked up with Suarez for that final goal was poetry.
And as for England's hopes of beating Costa Rica, I doubt they could beat Costa Coffee at the moment.
The only good news relates to the England shirt I bought from Amazon. They have a 14 day returns policy.

Just watched the high(sic)lights - I stopped watching England's matches live years ago - they always deliver - nothing.
At least some of us on here have seen England win a World Cup, but I doubt our grandchildren will do the same.
Remind me again, why some of those Premiership (sic) players are worth the wages?
Premier League Player Salaries (Club by Club)
Manchester United Players Salaries 2014 – Man Utd Wage Bill
The numbers apart - Rooney worth 50% more than Luis Suárez - really!

Skinny and G/F.
I despise the out of proportion money that Murdoch and (his cronies) have destabilised professional Football with as much as you do, but as they say it's just another example of the extremes of market forces that we see in this country and abroad.
Also until you lot who continually vote for the Political parties who have sucked up to Murdoch over the years change your voting habits, things are unlikely to change very much anytime soon in Pro Football at least.

I don't know why, but I just seem to love Italy a lot more this morning....and I have this urge to hum the "hot chocolates" theme tune : do you believe in miracles......how about a team that loses twice and goes on to reach the final.........what ?.....hey...stop throwing shoes at me....

The odds on Italy winning twice and England beating Costa Coffee are only about 11/2 so hardly a miracle needed (although England may have to win by 2).

From my Scottish viewpoint I think Uruguay should have been down to ten men towards the end of the first half for a second yellow card offence, but the ref bottled it. The England defence was poor again and the second goal wasn't just Gerrard's fault. I think Hodgson has done a reasonable job with a team of limited talent and see no reason for him to resign.
