Host Europe (HER)

Silver6 - 09 Dec 2003 23:11

This share was tipped in shares.
Will it increase in value

Happy1 - 20 Feb 2004 23:12 - 33 of 75

ender I think that you have sold and are trying to get in at a lower price. Very naughty ! Do the calculations yourself and see what you come up with. Infact post them here so we can all see.

Notable constant gainers over five days include Host Europe, which has put on 34.5% to 2.59p. In its pre-close full year trading update on 20 January it said it was continuing to trade strongly and seeing significant new customers coming on board. The company said it expects turnover for the year to December 2003 to exceed that for 2002 by approximately 24%. Both the UK and German businesses have shown good sales order growth, it added, expressing optimism about the outlook for 2004.

I think HER is heading north at speed. Check out the October 03 in house broker report on HERs own website. We've had no adverse news since it was posted and then they reckoned a reasonable valuation for the company was 5.3p a share! I bought back in at 1.815 and reckon I'm looking at a triple bagger plus within the next 6 months. I will probably buy more under 3p if I can free up some cash. Why is cash always the problem?

Happy1 - 21 Feb 2004 14:30 - 35 of 75

People should have a good indepth read of this and also try and understand the wording. Instead of spouting Broker forecasts of 2.3p they should take note that this was a SHORT TERM FORECAST and based on growth factors far less than that achieved in their trading update !

Another interesting point

The forecast made by Durlacher was before the trading update where they state "This expectation has been borne out and the Board expects Group turnover for the year to 31 December 2003 to exceed that for 2002 by approximately 24%." which works out to be about half a million more than Durlacher estimated for the year to December 2003.

210204 The independant mentions that someone is building a stake in Host Europe

guru11 - 23 Feb 2004 22:54 - 38 of 75

Price last Thursday and Friday hit 2.60 / 2.65p, but this week is struggling to hit this point. 2.52 / 2.57p today, 3p short term may be further away.
Await results. Some heavy trading over the last week.

Doshmaker - 23 Feb 2004 23:34 - 39 of 75

We have only had one day this week. I can see a short term range of 2.3p to 2.65p. Trade this and you will make money. I have traded these five times in the last week.

petesteve - 24 Feb 2004 09:41 - 40 of 75

we may see a drop today as those who got in early start to take profit but in the long term it still looks good

enderwiggan - 25 Feb 2004 16:21 - 41 of 75

Happy1: re your post re sale. To be honest with you, I increased my holding last week on the back of a sale of FTO shares. It's currently my largest and most promising holding, oonly thing is, I see the decent returns being long term (6-12 months), not based upon these results. Can't see it getting past 3 pence on or before the results or soon after the results. It's jumped quickly and is now re-tracing a little. I am still holding and will continue to hold

enderwiggan - 25 Feb 2004 16:31 - 42 of 75

And if your'e wondering why, it's because they are growing, posted a slight half yearly profit on the back of a loss and have increased from my initial buy at 1.48. Oh and they own 123reg and were in the top500 new companies. In addition, the p/e ratio is stupidly low and the results do look to be interesting. Note also that tech stocks are making a comeback. Happy1: I was not intending to de-ramp the stock, only to warn that I can't see this rising as fast as some expect. If, on the other hhand it does, it'll be disappointing as I'd prefer a slow and steady rise.

enderwiggan - 25 Feb 2004 16:34 - 43 of 75

This is after all an AIM listed stock, so tax incentives on CGT come into play after holding for a year or more. Of course I haven't sold out yet!!!!

Happy1 - 25 Feb 2004 22:50 - 44 of 75

There will be volatility as those in profit bail out when the market drops. I will be holding for a year ,unless something silly happens,to capitalise on the future growth potential.

Nas did well tonight.

(Have a look at SPS as down 25% from recent high)

Happy1 - 25 Feb 2004 23:06 - 45 of 75

FT TODAY

Headline : 'Hermes starts to take Aim stakes'
Quote : 'It is also understood to have taken a stake in Pipex, a telecommunications network operator, and is in the process of buying into a third Aim-listed company.'

HER?

keith142 - 27 Feb 2004 02:45 - 46 of 75

bought in today after monitoring for the last 2 weeks.
Didn't this site have an area where expected returns could be calculated?
If anyone can direct me to the area or another site that enables this I will be very grateful - thanks in advance
