Planestation (Ex Wiggins Group plc) (PTG)

Socrates - 10 Jan 2004 10:34

Time now for all us Wiggins watchers to move with the times and start using Planestation, the new company identity. The name Wiggins Group plc has now disappeared from the database at Companies House and Planestation is now listed on the LSE website.

So fellow travellers, forget Wiggins, the name of the game is now PLANESTATION. Lets hope it goes like an express train.

Aviation news
By Keith Crowden

The Wiggins Group is being refinanced with an aim to focus activities on developing its network of regional airports, which include Manston in Kent, Lahr in Germany and Melbourne in Florida. A name change is proposed to PlaneStation Group Plc with the shares reclassified to the Stock Exchange transport sector to more reflect the nature of the group’s current activities. The future for Manston is improving with news of tour operator Cosmos wishing to use the airport for up to three summer flights a week, including transatlantic charters to Florida, and planning permission underway for two new hangars able to take Airbus A380s.

my wife has always told me i put my tongue into gear before my brain, until now ive always argued, but she was right (but am not going to ownup to her), it is abundantly clear we both agree, so lets look foward to a nice profit, in the meantime if i do hear anything that might be of interest i will post http://planestation

Socrates - 15 Jan 2004 17:28 - 36 of 1086

If they are to build hangars for Airbus A380 at Manston they will have to be big. The largest dimensions on A380 are:

79.8 metres Wingspan
79.4 metres Length
24.1 metres Tail height

The preliminary figures for the freighter are 150 tonnes (330.000 lbs) payload with a range of 10,400 km (5,600 miles). That should be enough to get plenty of runner beans into Manston's food processing plants.

One small comment on the Shares article reproduced above. It would give me a more comfortable feeling if they got their facts more accurate. Clearly, whoever wrote it knows needs to brush up on their Manston knowledge.

Good news from RNS news

15/01/04 18:14 Holding(s) in Company-Replace RNS
15/01/04 16:29 Holding(s) in Company RNS

UBS INVESTMENT BANK acquired

3.78%

They then realised that this was below the threshold for disclosure under Schedule 10 & told us to forget that they said it.

But we know the good news & they can't take it back.

As shares mag said : "The important point is to overcome past impressions and watch where the professional money is going."

I think they have seen the fact that the market cap is only 51million but the assets are said to be worth 500million.

So this share should go up by a factor of 10 just to match the asset value so maybe x20 or x30 is not out of the question.

Previous board made a bit of a mess BUT
Geoffrey Ambrose is new non-exec director, previously General Manager at Stansted, and Planning Director at Heathrow

see

http://www.lemminginvestor.com/

Watch out for more board & management changes & the share price will get a kick upwards each time.

Believe me folks this stock is about to FLY. I have held for the past 4yrs with the LONG TERM view and I can assure you it has been a roller coast ride all the way but I have always had faith in the concept and it is about to unfold.

kunst - 16 Jan 2004 09:44 - 39 of 1086

If the discussions PTG plc are having with Cosmos as reported in the DMail are successful then they will indeed fly.

I had a thought, no don't take the mickey, Travelstation have arranged four holiday flights from Manston so far that we know of. If there is one thing that holiday providers and aircraft operators don't like, it has to be pre-positioning aircraft. It costs money and takes flying time out of aircrews' permissable duty hours.

There will therefore be a financial incentive to obtain holiday flights and charters that inter-connect with the already planned flights. Does that make sense?

From little acorns mighty oaks do grow, or words to that effect.

apple - 17 Jan 2004 11:06 - 44 of 1086

Socrates, I assume that you mean

http://www.travelstation.co.uk/

Have you asked PTG if thay have plans to obtain holiday flights and charters that inter-connect with the already planned flights?

Maybe such questioning will keep them focused on it even if they are already planning it.

Received the Interim Report today along with the design of the revamped submission for the proposed racecourse at Fairlop, what a plush brochure it is too which will be presented to the authorities for approval next month. In addition they sent a single coloured page advertising Travelstation.

Things are looking up folks.

Have a great weekend.

Strange to think that Travelstation might be the catalyst that gets PTG off the ground!

Is this another Planestation, in association with TravelStation, acorn that suggets further growth?

Socrates - 18 Jan 2004 12:24 - 48 of 1086

Philcom
In case you missed this line at the bottom of the Travelstation web page:

TravelStation is a member of PlaneStation Holdings 2003.

It is my belief that Travelstation will become a driving force in the growth of Planestation, that is, it will help to crystalise any demand for services from, between or to Planestations.

llewellyn - 18 Jan 2004 14:55 - 49 of 1086

RED ARMY - 18 Jan 2004 16:37 - 51 of 1086

I would not be surprised to see Ryanair make an announcement soon re 1 of their airports. It would suit their pattern of growth.

DUPLEX - 18 Jan 2004 19:33 - 52 of 1086

Looks like a useful 2004 Punt if ever I saw one. Reminds me of Rhoose Airport before it had an injection of capital , a rename to Cardiff International Airport, and now thriving. Bit like Manston.

The fact that we are all talking about it is a good sign! It has come onto the Radar of the big boys and the announcement by UBS INVESTMENT BANK they they acquired 39,009,882 shares representing 3.78% of the share capital, only to realise that this was below the threshold for disclosure under Schedule 10 resulting in them removing the RNS announcement !! was a boo boo in our favour - for once! I tipped CENES the other week - a few days before it shot up - yum yum - and this is another one.
