Anyone looked at the LIVE trades of ROS today (ROS)

mojo47 - 14 May 2004 10:58

mitzy - 10 Dec 2008 09:47 - 33 of 53

Moving up again 52p to buy.

moneyplus - 10 Dec 2008 12:50 - 34 of 53

I hope you're doing well on them. I'm battered by the demise of bb. and wlw to name just a few of my dogs--so I've only scraped enough for 10000 shares--a very small investor compared to the large buys going through. I'm hoping when the official deal is confirmed with revenues etc the sp will take off properly. If I'm lucky I might be able to trade a few and build my stake--then when sea energy gets going courtesy of Gordon Brown!---this co. should be transformed. Some long term holders on the other side have held for 5 years and kept adding---they are fully expecting a multi multi bagger over the next 2/3 years. I know---don't be taken in by bb posters but I do think they are well up on the research and I am excited--just can't help it after so many disasters lately!!!

mitzy - 10 Dec 2008 14:03 - 35 of 53

I hope you do well with these I am a newcomer here but if your looking for the next multi bagger this one seems to fit the bill.cheers.

moneyplus - 26 Feb 2009 15:07 - 36 of 53

The BIG IRAQ deal has just been announced after the exciting Sea energy deals last week -----FANTASTIC deal with huge sums of money involved over 10 years literally billions of which Ramco will get 1/6. sp rocketing up but once the official figures are out this price will be history. may be suspended and come back much higher----read the other side for more info but don't miss out. sorry I'm so excited after a rotten year and many losses---I hope to make it all back once news gets out on this one!

moneyplus - 27 Feb 2009 10:41 - 37 of 53

I'm surprised this one hasn't gone much higher but it seems to take a long time for the sums to be worked out by the press/analysts etc---perhaps over the weekend they will catch on. David Milliband was at the official announcement, the Iraqi minister said this was the only company brave enough and persistant enough to want to work in the country and with local people--it made the BBC news. This still a tiny company and the contracts are for 10 years and worth billions! DYOR I'm still excited.

oilyrag - 27 Feb 2009 10:44 - 38 of 53

Likewise moneyplus, I got in yesterday at under 48p after all the speculation had been confirmed but before official RNS. This is my first foray into this one and I am hopeful of a good return. I cant believe the strokes mm's are pulling to stop this rising, but that just re-iterates what a bargain it is.

mojo47 - 27 Feb 2009 11:10 - 39 of 53

bought in years ago so R O S owes me quite a bit so good luck to them

mbugger - 06 Apr 2009 12:44 - 40 of 53

cynic - 02 Jun 2009 12:02 - 43 of 53

from memory, this is quite a godd littel company, but with cap of only 34m and EMS of only 5000 shares, its illiquidity makes it dangerously unpredictable

skyhigh - 29 Jun 2009 08:14 - 44 of 53

Switched into ROs this morning @ 82p (sold TAN).
Already ROS is going in the right direction... it's looking good for pos+ news soon
Onwards & upwards!

buttsy007 - 08 Jul 2009 09:49 - 45 of 53

does anyone know what happened with this?

skyhigh - 08 Jul 2009 09:53 - 46 of 53

Yes, & it's pretty, or funny ! not one of my best investment decisions..should've exercised a stop loss. oh well !
Will stay in as there's lots of other things ROS has going on and the Iraq thing may be rectified some..?

skyhigh - 08 Jul 2009 09:55 - 47 of 53

Here's what it was all about.....
Ramco Energy has updated on the state of play on their joint venture with the state-owned Iraqi Drilling Company (IDC).

The joint venture company, Iraqi Oil Services Company (IOSCO), is structured through Ramco's associate company Mesopotamia Petroleum Company (MPC).

One of the terms of the joint venture was for MPC to confirm funding of US$44.1m to meet the initial capital commitments by a certain date.

The deadline for confirming the funding has now passed and IDC has given notice to MPC on 7 July 2009 terminating the JV agreement.

Steve Remp, Chairman of Ramco, said: 'While IDC's decision to invoke the strict terms of the JV is frustrating, it is consistent with the approach we have seen in dealing with governmental bodies in Iraq.

We believe were are making good progress in fulfilling the initial investment requirements and together with MPC's advisers (including JP Morgan Cazenove) remain in contact with the Iraqi Government regardin progress on funding for this historic JV.'

sp still dropping...now 40p...I'm not going to panic (not yet anyway!)

hlyeo98 - 08 Jul 2009 11:43 - 49 of 53

Now it's the time to top-up, skyhigh.

moneyplus - 08 Jul 2009 14:45 - 50 of 53

Well I got bored and moved on but I've bought a few back today--it has certainly woken everyone up! I tend to agree that this is typical iraqi shenanigans designed to make everyone get a move on. It is said that GB, Miliband and JP Morgan were falling asleep on the job and the payup or shut up letter from the IDC came as a surprise to even the Iraqi oil minister. mpc and Remp are furious as normally these last ditch manoeuvres go on privately--this letter has forced ROS to issue a rns and the value of Steven Remp's personal holding dropped by 1.8 million!!! long term holders believe this will quickly be sorted and the sp will bounce back accordingly---I thought it was worth a gamble!! not for widows etc DYOR!

m0dulus - 07 Aug 2009 19:20 - 51 of 53

Anyone care to update on this one....is it still worth a punt long term?

skyhigh - 07 Aug 2009 23:23 - 52 of 53

it's grim...but worth staying in for the time being..imho
