LONDON (AFX) - Provexis PLC said it has entered into a long-term collaboration agreement with Unilever PLC to jointly develop a new concentrated format of its patented Fruitflow heart-health technology for application in Unilever's food product portfolio.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

The partners plan to enter into a global licence arrangement for the technology.

Fruitflow is a patented natural extract from tomato which Provexis said has been shown in human trials to reduce the propensity for aberrant blood clotting that is typically associated with cardiovascular disease and which can lead to heart attack or stroke.

In 2005 the market for heart benefit foods was worth 4 bln usd globally, Provexis added.

Considering the growth potential this share has a target of about 8-10p in the medium tern and is a good buy at current levels

Lucky you, But think of the millions of people worldwide who aren`t. Anyway if they bring it out in a capsule or a pill, then maybe one day you`ll be able to buy 100 fruitflow tablets at sainsburys for 75p

if you are over 65 you can get aspirin for free on the NHS!

I think PXS is like ALIZYME(AZM). When it reached 250p. I will have to dream. Thw right news will make the stock start moving. The price of 23p will be breached in say 2-3 weeks.

fear this one will crash back to earth when people realise the (still to be proved) health benefits are the same as aspirin.

the problem is not about gettin gthe benefit the problem is what happens to you to gain those benefits. Aspirin has numerous sometimes serious side effects if taken regularly including bleeding. the health benefits have been proven and the trila of the particular application of this against aspirin is being concluded.

this is a long way from crashing back anywhere.
