Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

I have noticed for severel weeks that, when I attempt to edit a post much of it , at times, gets lost, so say two sentences after editing become one , and the edited bit irrelevances too, annoying tho`;
anyone else get it?

I have noticed for several weeks that, when I attempt to edit a post much of it , at times, gets lost, so say two sentences after editing become one , and the edited bit disappears, its of little material consequence, as 99% of the other peoples posts are irrelevances too, annoying tho`;
anyone else get it?

Sequestor,

I've never experienced that at all :(

Does it happen on the new board?

STORMCALLER - 29 Jun 2005 21:43 - 3310 of 7315

Stormcaller,

Nah, was just rebooting one of the database servers which gave us grief today. Bloody things!

marka; Keep the ideas coming, trouble is if we put all this on each level 2 screen you will need a 42" plasma to read it;-) Have you tried our terminal yet, if not do email ian@moneyam.com

Access peculiarities again just a few moments ago. I think Kayak has already mentioned this.

I couldn't access the Trader's Room, which is set as my Home Page for a Browser launch. I don't use the MAM Home Page as my entry to the site.

Had to go in via a Stockwatch Favorite and then to the Traders Room using a MAM link button.

I have also had to 'log in' several times this AM, despite never ever logging out for weeks and weeks. To have to do this seems to smack as being a little amateurish but only in the sense that there doesn't seem to be any essence to it. If I go across the road, their log in procedure does seem to have some essence. Sorry to have to say this but I can't think of any better way of putting it.

DocProc,

Thank you for pointing this out - we haven't had any problems this morning, but we will take a look into it,

Hello,

This thread has now been placed on both of the BBs (Investors' Room and the Traders' Room) and is now the central spot to raise issues about functionality of the site or to suggest enhancements.

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post here.

I was looking at some share 'Trades'.

I feel there is a massive difficulty in looking at information on this page when compared with the visual ease of being able to look at and digest the 'default' version of 'Trades'.

Indeed, I cannot do it, except with great concentration and difficulty.

There is even a 'two decimal points problem' for 'whole pence prices'. This causes a numerical misalignment of figures in columns.

Uurgh!

Surely you can do better? Colour? Boldness?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 07 Jul 2005 07:41 - 3320 of 7315

DocProc,

The default trades page would be the streaming version, what setting are you changing when you get the other display?

angi - 07 Jul 2005 21:50 - 3321 of 7315

Just got to page 10 and I'm still reading posts from 17 Dec 2002.

Is this just a ruse to make me upgrade?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 08 Jul 2005 07:05 - 3322 of 7315

angi,

The boards work the same on every level of subscription. When you say you got to page 10 is this by using the navigation buttons on the main page when you go into the Bulletin Board, or on a particular thread once you have clicked into it? If so which one?

Can you tell me exactly what you are doing and I will try to assist you?

Regards

Ian

There are a fair number of companies for which intraday charts are not showing even though level 2 and daily charts are OK. AQH is the latest example but there are others. Suggest you scan your databases for such stocks! It may be happening with new stocks/name changes etc.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 08 Jul 2005 11:45 - 3324 of 7315

Kayak,

I will get James to take a look at this,

Is it possible to improve the portfolio feature by speeding up the rate of page refreshment after editing. It is slower than I am.
