Quite heavy profit-taking following AGM announcement. That is steady as she goes. Clarifies the arrangements re the ASDA contract, i.e. that exclusivity runs from completion of one only of the three suppliers or the first commercial order from a supplier: the trial at Youngs Bluecrest is nearing completion; indeed there are already products in the shops for other GREENSEAL applications than meat packaging. Just to treat Noggidynoggin (alias II) with the comtempt he deserves, unless you have warped, hallucinating specs on, this is real progress. Confirmation also that SEO positioning themselves for roll-out in other markets, including North America: the training of Premier and Advanced engineers implies that this roll-out will commence June. Frogpack news is also positive and this could well be worth the current sp on its own. The best thing is the management strategy is progressing to plan. I am sticking with my forecast of 4p per month rather than a sudden shooting star.

Ethel: worth watching the sp closely today. Could come back a bit on profit taking although likely to recover later in the day with new buying. Monday could well see a mark-up depending on how the Dow finishes today; so early afternoon could be a good time to buy. sd: that means that you can curl up in your basket and dream away, coming to the screen once a month for treats!

It is a spin statement - no mention of the court case - no mention of the core business of SEO (RF furnaces) - just nothing at all.

Interims and a big loss and this will get torn to pieces - I have a 3 month watch on it - and expect more reality to come into the equation now as interims near.

insiderinside - 22 Apr 2005 12:35 - 3313 of 27111

That was not a real AGM statement owing to the lack of the total business update (core business is RF Furnaces) - it was a defense of the spin statements recently issued - anyone can see that.

jimmyb. i think it's a confidence boosting statement. the price movements building to today are as i said, the buy on rumour sell on news brigade. anyone seeing anything negative must be daft as it confirms the asda deal and confirms seo are getting ready to roll out in other parts of the world. it also tells us to watch out for other seo products, i.e. frogpack. i will wait for sharesure or anyone else who actually attended to comment before saying what i really want to say.

Yes bosley it will be nice to hear the full story,,i expected the heavy selling,,did'nt knock the sp though..JB..

Stanelco sees future with growing confidence; ASDA GREENSEAL trial encouraging
AFX

LONDON (AFX) - Stanelco PLC chairman Philip Lovegrove told the annual general meeting that the company 'looks to the future with increasing confidence' thanks to progress with new products and a number of others in development.

He said at the forefront of developments has been Stanelco's GREENSEAL lid-sealing technology, which continues to move towards full commercialisation after 'very encouraging' feedback from its initial trials at Youngs Bluecrest, a leading supplier to ASDA Stores Ltd.

Mes amities / Bonsoir mes amies ,tu es la?,j'espere...Alors ! .Have yet to analyise the actaul semantics of the RNS ; { SD is somewhat of an expert, l suspect, in decyphering plattitudes and deriving reason and logic from pure rhetoric and verbosity. . .ln addition i await "our representatives comments" and his eyeball to eyeball inquisition with Balchin @ co with interest ... But upon first glance the RNS was more or less what i suspected. l never saw a need for an RNS anyway .Nothing new here. Usual jargon .Or perhaps the other shareholders are not as errudite or astute as some of our boys; and need informing of that which thier companies does ....and quite well apparently i am told. ,,,hehe !! Extremely lnteresting be the fact that SEO themselves have a self perception of that of a an "interlectual properties" group now rather than a constituient in the electrical/ mechanical engineering sector( if given a main listing) .That in itself demands Mr.market views SEO in a different light altogether . Quite significantly "hi tec" is making a massive comeback in terms of IPO s,heavy lnstitutional buying and new found popularity among serious players. . .The market has quite a diferent attitude to the "hi tec " sector and that of engineering groups . Anyway time will tell. l suspect" speculators " expected a lot more and will have had thier fingers burnt. But quite irrelavent to what the rns said , or didnt say, is the simple blatently obvious fact that a certain anonomous party is slowly and by stealth accumulating a principal interest in SEO..Behind the scenes , by stealth, and what is extremely gauling - on the cheap ! The mms are getting it both ways so as to not give the game away . On the entire flight from Frankfurt yesterday i poured over all trades ( Level 11 ) regarding SEO ; and NO amount of of persuading will change my mind. .There is a "shark " snapping up those sells ,,,, l mean you dont need a wether vane to know which way the wind is blowing when sitting among a sea of "red" are isolated blobs of blue. all considerable, and more interestingly, broker to broker or mm to mm transactions .,,On Reuters i noticed more than a few cases, reported later to the market, and marked as "SELLS" when they are in fact "BUYS" . ....,,,,,,,",,Barons, Knights, Squires, archers - ,,,,,,,Prepare for battle ...........",.......a/b ,,,,bonne chance :+ J ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,> Aside ,,,..Roly !! Fab news on CEY huh? ...

A few ponts re AGM. As announcement. Very upbeat concerning completed trial with Youngs- 'exceeding expectations through a wide range of products.' The two further trials have not yet begun but are expected to in the next couple of weeks. An office has been opened in Florida. 'We will be presenting to Wal-Mart through ASDA' an outcome to these negotiations expected 'in months rather than years' (This regarding outlets in USA, Germany and Mexico).
A meeting took place with Sainsbury a couple of weeks ago and 'they loved it.'
U S engineers arriving within the week.
All I can think of at the moment.

Interesting post, TFC. I also though the intellectual property point very interesting. The major money on GREENSEAL will come from royalties.licence fees in second and subsequent years: this is why SEO is likely to be in the FTSE100 in two or three years time. It is noticeable that they are even farming out the manufacture of R/F units for GREENSEAL, at least abroad to Advanced. I find that very impressive.

Your other point is also interesting re the soaking up of stock by an acquistive source. But, if they have more than 3%, wouldn't that imply an RNS? Or am I being naive? for instance, they could be hidden away in various different pots. Interesting that noggidynoggin demonstrates his naivety with socks on with his comment re R/F furnaces being SEOs core business. What stone has he beenhiding under for the last few years?

A final point about the statement is that there is no reason why it should contain real news: we have had plenty of that; an AGM is on a pre-determined date, so the statement is just filling out old news with further RNSs to come when there are announcements to make.

bos: no doubt you've seen the MoneyAM challenge. As I see it, you could invest 100% in SEO. If so, we should all call foul, or just undercut yoi in price and do the same thing! lol! Now bos in reverse says 'sob'; change one letter and you have 'soe'; change the sequence and you have 'seo'. Which goes to prove that if you split bos in pieces, he would have the letters SEO running through him just like a stick of Blackpool rock! rofl!

Amities ,,,,Doncaster ?? Oh do behave . Who even knows where Doncaster is located. Now be honest . Come on now ,, Why not London ,? Mind you what with Blair & his maniacs allowing 1 million people into this country you are, more as not, quite likely to be accosted by some passing Azeri ,Armenian, Bengali, Pakistani, lndian , Latvian, or Jamaican or some equally undesirable types from some equally undesirable places . So upon reflection , perhaps Docaster is preferable .... .,,,But a million extra people in a mere 8 years .A trojan horse by any other name . ,,.,,,,,,,,utterly disgusted Anyway ill be sailing the 7 seas on "STAN" <- my yaucht to be @+ J,,,,,,,Any-one know ? - is sailing easy ? ,,,,,,,,,,,....

So what has changed? No one expected the shares to jump to 1 after todays meeting. It was just a general update. Most of us holders are quite happy to sit on our shares and wait. At least things are moving along in the right direction. There has been a very good increase in a short space of time. I'm sure we will see an even bigger increase in a years time. Good luck to other holders who are sitting on a big profit.

bosley - 22 Apr 2005 15:04 - 3323 of 27111
