jeffmack - 04 Feb 2005 16:21 - 3358 of 11056

mos, yes I use CMC. Will have to try that trick. I think you have said before, trading FX through CMC is sooooo different to trading shares. You dont get all those silly requotes and tickets get filled straight away.

Maggot - 04 Feb 2005 16:44 - 3359 of 11056

I deliberately didn't trade the spikes, as I didn't feel confident.

Question: If you set a limit price with cmc spreadbet to open on fx, surely on the sort of spike we had today it goes straight through the set price, doesn't it? Or does it still automatically open the bet even if that price is not specifically shown?

davspeed - 04 Feb 2005 17:03 - 3360 of 11056

Good question Maggot I don't normally use limits to open positions but have been stopped out when spikes have gone against me and they have always been on the price I set unlike when you get a jump in a stock and they give you the next closest price traded to your stop.
