Market cap now only 29m.
Tax losses worth 15m, in a takeover. Corporation tax is 30%, for any company making over 1.5m profit.
http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/rates/corp.htm So if YOO were taken over, the 50m+ of losses, are an asset worth 15m
Dateline is valued by broker at 15m (see latest broker note). Certain posters have suggested much more.
This values the rest of Yoomedia at effectively nothing! All the agreements/partnerships, eg: ICTV, considered worthless?
I'll be getting my hoover out at 5.15p

me too ip.--expecting a change in sentiment very soon on this one. keep being told by a friend in the city that the market does not realise the huge potential profits this company will make and also tells me don't lose faith hold on to your holding for at least 12 months! this is what I intend to do with fingers crossed!!

iPublic , your accounting logic is crap. How the hell do you class tax losses as an asset when this pile of shite will probably never be able to offset those losses against anything before they go bust.
Your the biggest joker on this thread.

Still hurting, still holding, but optomistic for absolutely no reason whatsoever!!
Sometimes you think you made a mistake with a choice (like I do now) and it works out the best mistake you ever made.
Sometimes you feel like a clever, smug type, only to find you've done something rather silly.
Gonna class this one as trading on the seat of my pants, and if it goes wrong, its just another one to chalk up to experience.
Always happy, ;-)

Dil
As a takeover target, the tax losses are worth 3p a share to a preditor.
Then consider Dateline has been valued by the broker at 15m, with several interested parties bidding for it ( see broker note).

Never fall in love with a position, because it will never love you back.

I sold SBT for 25p and took a thumping loss because I listened to the doom merchants--look at it now!! I sold AU. for the same reason ! Didn't sell SIP and got burnt. This time I'm turning a deaf ear and following a hunch--as Alan says it's only money!! figures due soon and like SEO we know they are not going to be good but with all the new agreements signed I'm expecting some positive news as well. If not I'll maybe agree with you Dil.

I have to say I am always astonished at how companies can fleece shareholders blind and yet they still keep coming back for more. I find it remarkable.
