THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

As I wrote before.

doodlebug4 - 29 Nov 2013 16:31 - 33524 of 81564

"Lee Rigby 'attacked like a joint of meat' by Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale, court hears."

Evidently Muslin converts these two. I'm not familiar with the entire contents of the Koran, but I wonder in which pages it states it's okay to try and chop someone's head off with a knife or meat cleaver. Surely a cast iron case for imposing the death penalty, if we had one in this country.

Stan - 29 Nov 2013 16:43 - 33525 of 81564

Death Penalty? I wondered when that one would crop up.

doodlebug4 - 29 Nov 2013 16:52 - 33526 of 81564

Stan, these two will probably get a minimum life sentence of about 30 years. Why should British tax payers fund their stay in prison for that time? Killed one of our soldiers, in broad daylight, in front of witnesses. We have to give them a 'fair trial', isn't that enough?

Stan - 29 Nov 2013 17:01 - 33527 of 81564

Some of you "Coners" are so disappointingly predictable.

Haystack - 29 Nov 2013 17:12 - 33528 of 81564

If any group is predictable then it is the raving lefties. They seem to hate business. They fail to realise that the only source of money in the economy and for government is business. Successful businesses give fuller employment and tax revenues.

Fred1new - 29 Nov 2013 17:22 - 33529 of 81564

Hays,

Don't judge others by your own level of stupidity.

Haystack - 29 Nov 2013 17:26 - 33530 of 81564

I judge them by their level of stupidity.

Stan - 29 Nov 2013 17:31 - 33531 of 81564

Your not fit to judge anyone H/S.

Haystack - 29 Nov 2013 17:42 - 33532 of 81564

This is loony left - social housing!!!!

Bob Crow: 'I have no moral duty' to move out of council house despite receiving six-figure salary as RMT.

The RMT general secretary said he was being victimised for living in a council property and it would be unfair on his family to move them out of it

Bob Crow has defended living in a council house despite earning £145,000 annually.

The general secretary of the rail union RMT was challenged during a radio interview as to why he still lived in social housing instead of a private home when he earned such a generous salary.

Stan - 29 Nov 2013 17:49 - 33533 of 81564

So what?

Haystack - 29 Nov 2013 17:56 - 33534 of 81564

Funny how the lefties whine and moan as the Conservatives pass right wing legislation as they see it and then don't repeal any of it. The list is quite long

Privatise rail
Privatise utilities
Privatise BRS
Privatise BT
Privatise Thomas Cook
Pass laws restricting union picketing
Pass laws on union voting
etc etc

How many have been repealed? NONE

The fact is that the left would love to introduce such laws, but they are too afraid of their union paymasters.

Stan - 29 Nov 2013 18:08 - 33535 of 81564

zzzzzzzzzz... Have an early night, you're clearly very tired.

Haystack - 29 Nov 2013 18:59 - 33536 of 81564

Populous poll had Labour just 3% ahead

This morning’s daily YouGov poll for the Sun had topline voting intention figures of CON 33%, LAB 39%, LDEM 8%, UKIP 14%. Full tabs are here.

Meanwhile today’s twice-weekly Populus poll has topline figures of CON 35%, LAB 38%, LDEM 12%, UKIP 7%

MaxK - 29 Nov 2013 19:01 - 33537 of 81564

Those figs you quote Haystack, suggest Big Dave will have to get into bed with ukip.

Haystack - 29 Nov 2013 19:22 - 33538 of 81564

No. UKIP won't get enough seats, probably none. It would be Libs again.

cynic - 29 Nov 2013 19:48 - 33539 of 81564

Stan - 29 Nov 2013 19:54 - 33540 of 81564

"phew! sure glad i'm a long way away and in the warm" Yeah, So are we... Any chance of making it permanent? -):

Haystack - 29 Nov 2013 19:59 - 33541 of 81564
