Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

The Pound is dropping....watch the rebound !...as banks all over the world will buy the pound on the drop....(major profits to be made)....

Platforms I have access to have stretched the spreads to the point where trading is suicidal....as expected while they try to rip-off their less experienced traders.

STORMCALLER - 24 Jun 2016 06:14 - 3359 of 12628

I suggest you all consider barack obama bin laden's revenge. This is a seriously powerful man who hates Britain, and does not have the constraint of having to stand for election, he will make trouble.

STORMCALLER - 24 Jun 2016 06:18 - 3360 of 12628

The percentage of registered voters who participated in such a simple choice is very disappointing, it was basically a YES/NO choice...WTF is wrong with those who didn't vote ???????????????????????????????????

Basically I think that there could be a European referendum with a call for reform right across Europe...the Dutch are already very close to calling their own referendum and if that goes ahead ...others might follow.....

dreamcatcher - 24 Jun 2016 06:21 - 3362 of 12628

Fantastic result. Experts predictions, lol. What a great day for Britain. The end of the rotten eu nears.

STORMCALLER - 24 Jun 2016 06:27 - 3363 of 12628

The TURD cameron tweeted his thanks to the remainiac vote as the referendum came to a close. He had an opportunity to show his statesmanship and respect for democracy...and he failed dismally on both counts as he completely ignored the will of the people.
By default he is unfit to represent the country in the forthcoming negotiations, he knows that a man of principle would immediately resign. of course I expect him to remain.

STORMCALLER - 24 Jun 2016 06:41 - 3364 of 12628

Probably stating the obvious but here goes...it's all over, sanity has prevailed (bizarrely..lol!) so what happens next...NOTHING !!!
The politicians, lawyers, pointless expensive brussels functionaries. the traitors cameron/osborne, the pointless and functionless eu pilemant and countless hangers-on will spend £billions sorting it out for years.

But it will be worth it !!

STORMCALLER - 24 Jun 2016 06:46 - 3365 of 12628

Interesting to view the low turnout and tactical vote in Scotland
It seems clear those that voted did so to piss-off the rest off the UK. with a secondary driver of nicola sturgeon making whoopie with lots of eu power brokers to keep them in the eu in the hope of $billions of handouts...sad really

Well done fellow LEAVERS we made it.

The markets and the pound have been expecting a remain result in recent days so they have/will take a hammering now, but the bigger picture is what is important and there will be so many buying opportunities for profits to be made. Good luck all.

STORMCALLER - 24 Jun 2016 06:59 - 3368 of 12628

Those of you waking up to the monumental news might like to consider this issue in your trading (if your platform has ANY sensible spreads)...Their isn't a single senior trader in the market today who was working the last time there was a democratic vote in the eu... so they are as clueless as you are...ROFLMFAO !!!

David Cameron under pressure to resign as PM after Britain votes to leave the EU

By Ben Riley-Smith, Political Correspondent
24 June 2016 • 5:37am

David Cameron will be under immediate pressure to quit as Prime Minister if Britain has voted to leave the European Union as expected.

Despite more than 80 Tory MPs signing a letter saying Mr Cameron has a “mandate and a duty” to remain in post, scores of Conservatives now believe he cannot stay in Number 10 for long.

Hilary Benn, Labour’s shadow foreign secretary, and Nigel Farage, the Ukip leader, are among leading opposition figures who have already said Mr Cameron will have to leave office.

Critics are expected to ask how a sitting Prime Minister can remain in post when more than half of the country’s voters have defied him on the biggest political decision for a generation.

However MPs from across the political divide urged Mr Osborne and his chancellor, George Osborne, to stay in an attempt to oversee a period of “calm”, saying Mr Cameron had a “mandate and a duty” to continue as Prime Minister.

It might be best perhaps for DC to remain as PM for the moment with a decision to be taken at a later date .....do we have to have a resignation right now ?.....it's up to the politicians.....

grannyboy - 24 Jun 2016 07:23 - 3372 of 12628

Apparently the snake oil salesman is making a statement at or just after 8.

should be his resignation...

MaxK - 24 Jun 2016 07:28 - 3373 of 12628

He's buggered, he might as well go.

The ball is rolling...

All dc can realistically do is nominate a PRO-UK committee to start the exit negotiations.
as to elections, this is a serious issue, as both major parties have leaders diametrically opposed to the will of the people....surely leadership elections are essential in both parties, and that is the next risk of BREXIT.
