yep calm before the storm mg.....
feel a lot of traders caught between buy usd on the back of this move and the longer term view that usd still keeps on going down.. think greenspans comments caught people a bit flatfooted..

chocolat - 07 Feb 2005 08:44 - 3376 of 11056

Mine's still on too, mg - thing, that is.

mostrader - 07 Feb 2005 09:51 - 3377 of 11056

Just had a sneak look in to see where we are - 80 and 90 have fired - hoping the 70 doesn't as well.

Good to hear you've still got your thong on - I should hope so to ;)

cheers mos - doesn't look very happy - but we need to see where the US is going - can they afford to keep on buying those dollars? ;)

mostrader - 07 Feb 2005 14:11 - 3381 of 11056

i think shrt term ..greenspan comments underpinning it,but i think he gets a lot more credit tha is desevered...

chocolat - 07 Feb 2005 15:47 - 3382 of 11056

My long triggered this am too - took 30 off that and couldn't resist a short at 18705. Plan is to reverse any time soon.

mostrader - 07 Feb 2005 15:49 - 3383 of 11056

choc:)

Seymour Clearly - 07 Feb 2005 16:01 - 3384 of 11056

Seymour Clearly - 07 Feb 2005 16:06 - 3385 of 11056

mg - 07 Feb 2005 16:51 - 3388 of 11056

Oooops
The 70 has fired but all of them were stopped out @ 650 for -90 ;(

Maggot - 07 Feb 2005 17:04 - 3389 of 11056

Hard luck, mg. Bet you wish you had been at the computer to reverse.

edit. And just when you're sure it can't go any further, it does!

Seymour Clearly - 07 Feb 2005 17:30 - 3390 of 11056

Now short @ 560, was short @ 590 and put stop to b/e too quickly :-(

mg - hard luck - was wondering where your stop was.

Seymour Clearly - 07 Feb 2005 18:22 - 3391 of 11056

Stopped out. Bother.

chocolat - 07 Feb 2005 18:31 - 3392 of 11056

Blimey - it was still in the 30s when I left the screen. Just got home and closed the short - that's enough excitement for a Monday.

Shame about the mis-fires, commando :(

mg - 07 Feb 2005 18:36 - 3393 of 11056

Well done choc-o-thong - some days it goes the right way - others it don't.

Got a couple of days day-jobbing so the rest will probably do me some good. I'll either come back refreshed or brain dead ;)

chocolat - 07 Feb 2005 18:58 - 3394 of 11056

One of these days I'll get myself organised, mg - I regard this short as a fluke, seeing as I took Friday off work for what, 29 points..when there were about 170+ to be had both ways.

Edit: by flukey, I mean that I'd left an oco on it, which I cancelled in the nick of time when I saw how it was going.
