VANE MINERALS, A Cheaper And Lower Risk Route Into The Uranium Market. (VML)

goldfinger - 08 Mar 2005 09:20

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE..

COMPANY WEB SITE.........

http://www.vaneminerals.com/

THE PRICE OF URANIUM IS GOING BALISTIC...

The uranium spot price hasn't seen a down month since 2001. For years now, uranium producers have met just 60% of total annual demand - the other 40% coming from government stockpiles and decommissioned nuclear warheads. This can go on for only so long.

The tightness of supply comes at a time of atomic resurgence. Three large-scale factors have turned the tide in favour of nuclear energy:
geopolitics, global warming and developing world growth.

Analysts are debating over wether the SP of Uranium increase will be three fold within 2007?.

Looks like to me, the best play on the UK market for Uranium and it hasnt gotten away yet like the other two ZBA Zareba and URA Uranium which have multi bagged. Its also in a position to fund its development with a new gold mine producing. Ive added twice this morning and think this one could be very big. Heres the announcement...........

Vane Minerals PLC
07 March 2005

VANE Minerals plc (AIM: VML)

VANE Announces Diversification Into Uranium Exploration And Development

Vane Minerals ('VANE' or 'the Company') announces that it is diversifying its
current project portfolio by entering into the uranium exploration and
development business.

To date 7 uranium targets have been successfully claimed by the Company and 28
further properties have been identified and are under development. VANE expects
to finalise its property position by the end of the first quarter 2005. The
Company is targeting uranium projects that are either at, or near, resource
stage or targets that exhibit similar surface features to mines with past
production, but that have not yet been evaluated for the presence of uranium.

The 35 properties identified are located within a uranium district with
significant past production as well as significant resources. Due to the
current uranium market conditions, we prefer to not identify the location until
we complete our property position. Previous drilling data available for some of
the 7 properties successfully claimed indicate grade intersects from 0.34 up to
1.78% U3O8.

VANE has incorporated a 100% owned subsidiary to hold its uranium properties and
has also successfully recruited a uranium geologist, Kristopher K. Hefton B.Sc.,
who has considerable experience in this field and is a great addition to the
VANE team. Mr. Hefton has worked with VANE's exploration team in the past during
his time at Freeport McMoran, and he has also worked for Barrick Gold
Corporation, Homestake Mining Company and Energy Fuels Nuclear Inc.

Michael Spriggs, Chairman of VANE, commented, 'We are delighted to announce the
addition of these uranium assets to the VANE portfolio and will update the
market with more substantial details once further properties have been claimed.
The uranium market has been strong for some time now, reflecting a long-term
forecast supply shortage and the growing recognition that nuclear energy offers
a cleaner and more energy efficient fuel source. Through our extensive network,
we have identified some quality projects and look forward to releasing further
details when appropriate.'

Under budget and ahead of schedule, more uranium site have been acquired since the last RNS. I cant understand people selling, my target in the short term is easily 26-28p and if the good news keeps coming cant see why we should hit 50p by the end of the year.

Hawicks welcome to his bearish opinion guys even if its obvious to a blind man that its based on no research or lack of understanding of the company and is a personal attack on myself which I will just not entertain. If he continues his personal attack I will just filter him simple as that as I do not wish this thread to become subjected to abuse its not fair to other posters, in fact as hes already had 4 goes at me, Hawick Filtered.

cheers GF.

syd443s - 15 Apr 2005 12:20 - 345 of 2220

Yeah weve seen this before, was it last week the same thing happen price drops down to 19.5 then in the afternoon the price creeps back to evens. We know the MMs are short of stock so we should expect little treeshakes like this now and again especially ahead of good news.

Madison - 15 Apr 2005 12:58 - 346 of 2220

syd443s - 15 Apr 2005 15:29 - 352 of 2220

Yeah its to cheap not to BUY, this is one of those share that is just going to turn out good. Its going down like all other shares today for no reason. Lets hope the low price can encourage more BUYERS for next week. Am hoping for some news next week, got me a feeling.

sidtrix - 15 Apr 2005 15:30 - 353 of 2220

I also topped up 10,000 twice today.... think they are progressing quite well!
Wonder how much longer for the URANIUM news!!!

hawick - 15 Apr 2005 15:32 - 354 of 2220

I made my point when the price was 23p. We'll see. Filtered? Flattered. :)

syd443s - 15 Apr 2005 16:42 - 355 of 2220

Recovered a little during the end of play today (a sign of things to come?). This is a quality company you just need to do some research to know this. "Hawick" doesnt know anything about this company apart from nil turnover, but you have to spend money to make money. They have just started mining on most of there sites, they have money in the bank and they have laid claim to 3 more U sites whats more is they are under budget and ahead of schedule.

Am hoping for some more news next week and hopefully now this little tree shake has released a few more shares we should see some BUYERS coming back to nudge up the price again.

Madison - 15 Apr 2005 16:48 - 356 of 2220

The uranium news will be around the end of the month, though news from Guadalcazar may predate it.

What we have here is a company with an excellent strategy, a good management, the possibility of massive growth in the uranium fields but the reassurance of steadier and more predictable progress in in gold, silver and others.

And above all with a database of immense significance.

The company is about to become cash-generative and treats its shareholders well, with good information flow. It is simply too much to ask for news every day, and those that need it will inevitably be moving around a lot.

For those with a timeframe in excess of two weeks Vane could be very rewarding. (Personally I hope to be a longer term investor than that.) Being realistic, I suppose the very short term money will be back towards the end of the month. And they may well get it right. Or the news might be late. Or it might be next Monday morming. No one knows. But it will come - that is certain.
DYOR

Cheers, Madison
