Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

There's only one organisation to blame for this turmoil, and that's the EU
for having a dictorial, undemocratic, open door immigration, and a failed
ideological dogma..

After hitting $1.32, the pound is already back above $1.38. I will be buying £s today.

MaxK - 24 Jun 2016 08:51 - 3405 of 12628

Not to mention economic policies that have resulted in mass unemployment.

Trading buying selling is one thing...but with 30 odd countries...one currency....people movement with no control...Brussels acting like a medieval baron governing Europe...no..no..no...

Although he said he was not going to stand I think Gove is best for the PM's job, as I stated some weeks back.

It seems to me that the EU would be best served by a common market for all, and political, fiscal and legal union for only those in the euro zone.

sounds a bit 1940..???"$%^

Gove v Boris

I think 'The Guv' might win.

MaxK - 24 Jun 2016 09:07 - 3413 of 12628

You cant have Gove, the teachers hate him.

Mustnt upset the teachers.

grannyboy - 24 Jun 2016 09:07 - 3414 of 12628

And of course the remainers have a massive amount of responsibility,
especially cameron and osborne for talking down the UK economy, saying
we couldn't manage to stand on our own two feet, and we wern't good enough.. .

Carney got the podium out and steadied the ship with a few words about the BofE's strength and efforts already put in place.

I haven't met up with the neighbours to say, "Well it was YOU lot who said 'Blah blah blah', so that's why I voted for Out!" and to discuss, "What the hell have we all done? Did you get your Euros last night? Etc, etc."

:-)

I've been looking for stocks during the last few weeks which 'closely follows market sentiment'.

One of the best is 'SJP'
I also think the housebuilders are looking a bit too cheap as are the banks.

When we start doing deals to steady relationships with our friends in the EU block, I think things are going to be pretty much the same as before. We still need to have a fairly free movement of peoples because of our own expats in France, Spain and elsewhere.

And who is going to be washing my car? OMG! Just who will be washing my car? The guys do such a fantastic job and neither do they steal my mobile phone in the glove compartment either.

VICTIM - 24 Jun 2016 09:31 - 3420 of 12628

A big well done to the believers , honestly thought I would wake up to remain , I also expected some shennanigans from Dave but he's gone , I totally put it down to him and the constant threats which i think got peoples backs up , well done to those MP's who stuck their necks out too .

Haystack - 24 Jun 2016 09:31 - 3421 of 12628

Great result. The tricky bit is just beginning.

2517GEORGE - 24 Jun 2016 09:32 - 3422 of 12628

I've picked up more SL. @ 292p, looking for others, so many to choose from but not enough funds to buy all I want. selectivity is the name of the game.
