THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

so what's a few of zeros between friends or even enemies?

you should be ashamed of that monster you (h)oik round the country roads .... get a campervan and at least be more eco-conscious or even caring of that 5 mile queue behind ..... talk of "i'm alright jack" attitude!

Fred1new - 17 Dec 2013 22:18 - 34214 of 81564

The beds are too small in a Camper van and the cooking facilities a little restricting.

This has inbuilt BBQ, Microwave, Fridges, Oven, etc. solar panel Gen etc. and wine cellar.

At my age I am entitled to my little comforts.

Agreed, if you are going to have one of these Rv's, you might as well have a decent sized one.

The one I bought on a whim, was hopelessly too small for us, so flogged it again.

Takes a certain sort of peep to enjoy these vehicles.

fred - left-handedness - if you're left-handed naturally, i can see that one might have a different perception from a right-hander of the best move to make, though i'm not at all convinced that that is necessarily so - i.e. related to the which side of the brain is dominant - but it assuredly cannot make any difference at all with which hand you move the pieces

i confess i rather like the beast of bolsover, to whom i like to liken myself as a vocal backbencher at the golf club :-)

goldfinger - 18 Dec 2013 08:38 - 34224 of 81564

He tells it as he sees it, just like you cyners. Nowt wrong with that in fact its admirable.

Pity YOU get it wrong though most of the time despite your efforts. ......LOL.

goldfinger - 18 Dec 2013 08:39 - 34225 of 81564

Cyners £155 an hour if your a nurse....not bad ehhh.

MaxK - 18 Dec 2013 08:41 - 34226 of 81564

Not the nurse, the agency.

cynic - 18 Dec 2013 08:47 - 34227 of 81564

so does the beastie get it right most of the time?
prob no more often than me, but at least no one misses the point he's trying to make :-)

========

nurses
when i next see the relevant people, i'll try to remember to ask the score on this to test its accuracy

ps - i bet a few of the agency nurses make more than £155 ph in their other job :-)

MaxK - 18 Dec 2013 08:54 - 34228 of 81564

£20-30 quid an hour for a self employed nurse is the going rate.

the rest of it is for the agency and it's patrons....ie, back handers.

goldfinger - 18 Dec 2013 09:00 - 34229 of 81564

It says 80% nurse 20% agency doesnt it in that article or have I got it wrong way around?.

MaxK - 18 Dec 2013 09:03 - 34230 of 81564

I don't care what the articles says, the nurse gets nowhere near £150 a hour.

It's either wrong, or it's a fiddle.

cynic - 18 Dec 2013 09:07 - 34231 of 81564

i can ask d-in-law for a starter though i have a couple of even better sources
