Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

so does the beastie get it right most of the time?
prob no more often than me, but at least no one misses the point he's trying to make :-)

nurses
when i next see the relevant people, i'll try to remember to ask the score on this to test its accuracy
ps - i bet a few of the agency nurses make more than £155 ph in their other job :-)

£20-30 quid an hour for a self employed nurse is the going rate.
the rest of it is for the agency and it's patrons....ie, back handers.

It says 80% nurse 20% agency doesnt it in that article or have I got it wrong way around?.

I don't care what the articles says, the nurse gets nowhere near £150 a hour.
It's either wrong, or it's a fiddle.

Stan :That low life murdering scum is dead at last
You muppet , he was not convicted of murder he in fact played a minor role in the robbery [ he was a look out , and was never on the train ]
You should have a word with Fred , about accusing someone about something that is untrue . mind you he is a hypocrite.

Cynic.
"fred - left-handedness - if you're left-handed naturally, i can see that one might have a different perception from a right-hander of the best move to make, though i'm not at all convinced that that is necessarily so"
I told my grandson when he was 10 years old, that he had better watch out, as next we played chess I was going to play L/handed.
He told me not to be daft.
-------
But I played chess last night where there are quite a few golden oldies.
At one of the tables, a player hadn't made a move for about 30 mins and when did his opponent said "thank god for that! ! didn't want to disturb you as I thought you might be dead".
=======================
Agency nurses.
Check what is paid to "agency doctors" for doing weekend "shifts".
It is crazy to be paying the figures out of public funds.
One of the reasons for lack of continuity of care.

early signs of dementia perhaps :-)

fred - so even your young grandson is not taken in by your nonsense then
with regard to agency doctors (locums?), i confess i have never encountered same and i have no idea why/when they might be employed
certainly in d-in-l's practice and local hospital, doctors have a tight holiday roster so presumably there's always enough of them to man the boats as necessary

cynic,
Ignorance is bliss.
Ask you D&L to hold your hand and make enquiries about medical staffing at week ends in many hospitals.

Another success story.
"Taxpayers took a hit of at least £230m through the sale of a stake in Lloyds Banking Group, the National Audit Office said on Wednesday, in a report that contradicts government claims that it a made a profit on the privatisation of the bailed-out institution. On the day the 4.2bn shares in Lloyds were sold in September George Osborne tweeted: "Confirm have sold 6% of Lloyds shares at 75p. Profit for taxpayer & important step in plan to get their money back and repair economy." - The Guardian "
