Maintenance: Site downtime Friday 6th August @ 23:45.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 05 Aug 2004 13:18

Hello.

Since the switch over we have had a few teething issues, so to save you reading all the posts on this thread, ill list the ones that have been found, and when they have been fixed, cross them out. If things are not working despite being 'fixed', ill put them back on the list.

MoneyAM Website
Closing bid/offer prices skewed
Charts: OHLC not being saved, breaking candle sticks.
Market Scan issues.

If there is any that I have missed, please let us know.

All,

New installers for the PocketPC and Symbian phones are now available (MoneyAM Mobile). If you go to: http://www.moneyam.com/mobile and click on 'download' you will be able to get the files.

For the p800/p900, if you go to that link on your mobile, you will be able to download and install without your sync cradle.

Any problems, please post below.

It's happened again I'm afraid, all the closing prices & percentages have changed again on most stocks to reflect the prices on the market makers books. Again, somebody coming home from work after market close will not know what the bid and offer price closed at.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 12 Aug 2004 16:41 - 350 of 616

SueHelen,

Arse.
Will look now.

teletigger - 12 Aug 2004 16:48 - 351 of 616

A little suggestion My Lord........instead of working with developers...try booting them. Down the corridor, down the stairs, out of the building,up the street, back down the street, into the building, up the stairs, up the corridor and finally back into the office. And if that has no effect.......well at least there's the satisfaction :-)

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 12 Aug 2004 16:52 - 353 of 616

Can smoeone please give me some (one?) epics that are wrong on the closing price please?

thanks.

SueHelen - 12 Aug 2004 16:54 - 354 of 616

ETQ, CDN, CWV, QTR

ETQ closed at 6.5-7.25
CWV closed at 6.00-6.50
QTR closed at 1.0-1.75
CDN closed at 4.75-5.25

SueHelen - 12 Aug 2004 16:57 - 355 of 616

Nothing wrong with the SETS traded stocks such as ISYS and BPRG.

Problems are in the stocks that are controlled by the market makers, generally AIM stocks, more examples :

MDY closed at 7.0-7.75 pence, my stockwatch is showing 6.75-7.75 pence because the last MM signed off for the day was bidding for stock at 6.75 pence.

Plenty of other examples available if required. I hope our new data provider is not the one Ample uses.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 12 Aug 2004 17:02 - 356 of 616

SueHelen

Thank you so much. Now it is much clearer to us (by us, I mean me and the developer, both who dont currently trade)

Can you give us another one or two examples?

thanks.

SueHelen - 12 Aug 2004 17:06 - 357 of 616

Yeah sure....

MDW closed at 6.00-7.25 pence but is showing as 6.00-7.50 pence

REF closed at 0.85-1.00 pence but is showing as 0.75-1.00 pence

SIP closed at 1.50-2.00 pence but is showing as 1.50-2.50 pence.

Would that be the gentleman with the size 11 imprint on his rump?

Jon, I believe the closing price comes in a separate message from the LSE and therefore should be a separate message from your provider. It sounds like the closing price is just becoming the last update after the close.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 12 Aug 2004 17:07 - 360 of 616

SueHelen,

Are the figures in the column named 'close' actually wrong? or is it just the bid/offers?

J.

SueHelen - 12 Aug 2004 17:14 - 361 of 616

If you mean by the percentages in terms of % gained or lossed today then those are incorrect as a result of the wrong bid and offer prices. For example, my ETQ really closed at 6.50-7.25 pence and finished up nearly 2% today but because the price is showing as 6.25-7.25 pence now the percentage column is showing unchange for the day.

SueHelen - 12 Aug 2004 17:15 - 362 of 616

The figures in the close column are right, they are spot on.
