Luis Suarez

Suspended for 9 matches and four month plus 100.000 Swiss Francs

doodlebug4 - 26 Jun 2014 15:07 - 3449 of 6918

That's a joke surely.

KidA - 26 Jun 2014 15:30 - 3450 of 6918

Also talk of administrative football activites meaning no transfer. Can't train with Liverpool, so - even with personal trainer - say ready by mid-November? Could a Uruguay appeal push it back?

Edit - apparently FIFA say transfer is okay.

Cheers,
KidA

Here is a selection of e-mailed comments from the link above:

15.50 Here is a selection of your emails ...

E-mail "I think Suarez can count himself a very lucky fella," says Mike Hodgkiss. "They could, and perhaps should have thrown the book at him. Of course there will be outrage from the Uruguay camp, but that’s just nuts, there’s no defence for what he did. His only hope would be procedural irregularities!"

E-mail "Quite inadequate," writes Arni. "It's his third identical offence, and at a World Cup to make it even worse. He should be given the maximum ban, preferably the two year version."

E-mail "Beyond Liverpool FC's control, the fans and club should not be punished," writes John Charnock. "LFC should sell ASAP, this severely hampers their selling negotiations."

E-mail "Punishment well deserved," says Pam Thompson. "Not too harsh. Hard on Liverpool but he should have thought of that before he sank his teeth into his unfortunate victim's shoulder. Punishment means that standards are being kept. Hope he learns his lesson this time. Pity he wasn't fined more; he could afford it."

E-mail "Would have preferred that there was some punishment meted out to the Uruguayan FA and national team too," writes John Wilkinson. "To a man, they all denied Suarez had bitten Chiellini. One player even trying to pull Chiellini´s shirt back up when he had pulled it down to show the ref. Add to that all the denials and accusations coming from the Uruguayan camp these past two days, have shown that they don´t care much for the fair play mentality. Unacceptable behaviour and should have been punished too."

E-mail"Nine matches is probably roughly what he would have received for a first offence in Rugby but for a third offence," says Peter Byng. "I cannot imagine it would be less than a whole season. Had this happened in hockey, even for a first offence I would expect a ban for at least a year while for any subsequent one, I suspect it would be a sine die ban. Indeed, I believe that a sine die ban would be appropriate in this case. A total ban until he can persuade the disciplinary authorities that he has received appropriate treatment and his therapists can assert that he is "cured" of this cannibalistic tendency."

E-mail "Rio Ferdinand got an eight month ban for missing a drugs test!" says Paul Mitchell. " Suarez' ban is far, far too lenient. Two years would have been about right."

Wheres Christine Carson today ??? hiding his weekly hangover???? we know Chris we just keep quiet and sympathise for you.

Its a growing trend amongst Everton fans.

As Eddie Waring said..................poor lad, poor lad.

Chris Carson - 27 Jun 2014 17:08 - 3461 of 6918

Hey gf have a look at Utd's wages above, way out of date. Be double by start of season. Take your own sarnies to Old Trafford mate and a flask.

See Seamus Coleman has signed a new five year deal. One less for the Plastics to poach.

goldfinger - 27 Jun 2014 17:16 - 3462 of 6918

Yep but as previous as % of total revenue ths smallest in the Premiership

U see Chris you being a small club cant get your head around these figures . Thats why you use graphs all the time to make your investments. losing investments I should add.

Its not like going to the Bookies chris.

Chris Carson - 27 Jun 2014 17:28 - 3463 of 6918

Once a Plastic always a Plastic! My small club will still take six points of you shower of shite next season. Fellaini £75k a week LOL to warm your bench, thanks for the 27 mill. Hows the share price doing mate?

Chris Carson - 27 Jun 2014 17:31 - 3464 of 6918

Scholesy's not too impressed with your new signing left back. Can see his logic for £30 million he would sooner see a striker hitting 20 goals a season. LOL

goldfinger - 27 Jun 2014 17:33 - 3465 of 6918

he he, once small always small.

Everton at one time my dad said were a big club.

I cant remember it but he swears they were.

What went wrong.????????

Chris Carson - 27 Jun 2014 17:39 - 3466 of 6918

If you know your history! (Which you clearly don't). Sadly for you glory hunting plastics (from Yorkshire FFS). Football didn't start in 1992!

goldfinger - 27 Jun 2014 17:40 - 3467 of 6918

LOL Chris once we get rid of Puka Pie Rooney we will move for a new striker, in fact you wont believe whats going to happen and its the truth but I cant reveal it at the moment as it involves Suarez and Real Madrid.
