THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

It doesn't add up to froth on Manuel's beer.

Some s.bs are trying to escalate a trivial act to the size of a catastrophe, which will the Raj down.

"Atheist Church"

Haven't read the article, but it may remind me of conversations with a few "Church Elders" 60 years ago, who privately confessed they found the concept of a "god" difficult to swallow, but that they liked the "community", "ethos", "sense" of unity" and importantly the sense of continuity that the "Church" provided them.

I thought they were honest , but preferred to be an distant observer of their observances.

It is choice, I think.

The aethiest meetings in Islington on Sundays have comedians performing.

Having or not having belief in god does not imply anything about anyone's morality.

TANKER - 24 Dec 2013 08:54 - 34520 of 81564

cynic . you clever man answer this question.

I am a blood donor given over 100 times
and eat pork my fav meat

when a muslim needs blood in hospital does he say he can not have that tainted blood of a none believer or is it ok to have the blood of an ENGLISHMAN TO SAVE IS LIFE .

goldfinger - 24 Dec 2013 08:55 - 34521 of 81564

John Mann MP ‏@JohnMannMP
2,700 bankers have an Osborne Xmas present: a £36,303 tax cut for the year. Most Tory MPs want this hand out to be doubled.

goldfinger - 24 Dec 2013 08:58 - 34522 of 81564

Hmmmm thats a very good point TANKER especially if the blood donor was out the previous evening having a pork dinner and getting sloshed on fine wine and others.

Dont agree with the ENGLISHMAN part though, it could be anyones blood bar a good muslim.

cynic - 24 Dec 2013 09:15 - 34523 of 81564

i truly do not know, but equally i would remind you that i raised similar questions in my original post (34476)

tony hancock was of course famous for specifying to whom his armful of blood might be given

ExecLine - 24 Dec 2013 09:18 - 34524 of 81564

And just what is an Englishman, Tanker, in your opinion?

Is he 100% Pict, 50% Scot, 3% Celt, 54%, Norse, 43% French, 28% Irish, 100% White, 82% Germanic, 10% Pakistani, 14% Indian, 6% Jamaican, 12% Chek, 8% Russian, etc, etc, etc..?

Even UK Royal Family are related to the Germans and the Russians.

Brilliantly good point about when Muslims need blood transfusions! I must ask the opinion of the next Muslim M&S check out lady on the till when my wife buys a frock there.

Hancock deals with all of this extremely well and in about the first 5 minutes....

Don't forget Muslims act as bartenders in Muslim countries that sell alcohol either officicially or otherwise.

There are plenty of Muslims who are not bothered about touching alcohol, just drinking it.

It is similar to the veil and burka. There is nothing in Islam to require it. It just people taking an extreme view.

Tesco has always sold bacon as has M&S despite being started and run by Jewish men.

Even in Israel there are pig farms. There were large numbers of pig farms in Egypt until the government had the pigs slaughtered during the swine flu epedimic wrongly believing they might be a danger.

TANKER - 24 Dec 2013 13:32 - 34530 of 81564

well lets put it another way if a MUSLIM will take donors blood they are not taking notice of their beliefs and the MUSLIM leaders should ban all muslims from having blood . my blood is full of pigs blood and beer that is my life so if some MUSLIM as my blood donation he as given up on is faith .

some come on YOU MUSLIM POSTERS ANSWER THE QUESTION

having blood from a person who eats pork and drinks beer
is worse than eating the pork the blood becomes apart of you for ever

I VERY MUCH DOUBT ANY MUSLIM WILL ANSWER THE QUESTION

TANKER - 24 Dec 2013 14:21 - 34531 of 81564

yet the question is a very interesting question on religion and our far people believe in their faith unless it means life or death

TANKER - 24 Dec 2013 14:22 - 34532 of 81564

hay very much doubt you will give a reply it is far to big a question for you to answer

TANKER - 24 Dec 2013 14:51 - 34533 of 81564

so no answers well all muslims that have blood transfusion are HYPOCRITES .
and do not follow the KORAN so stop preaching it

Stan - 24 Dec 2013 14:56 - 34534 of 81564
