THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

My thoughts go out to the 50,000 still without power today. Cannot imagine it, and of course the flooding. Very sad.

Fred1new - 25 Dec 2013 13:26 - 34556 of 81564

True.

Stan - 25 Dec 2013 15:39 - 34557 of 81564

Yes but the chances are that most of them probably voted for the "Con" Party, so what comes round go's round as they say... not to worry to much then.

dreamcatcher - 25 Dec 2013 16:08 - 34558 of 81564

The ''Con'' party cannot be blamed for the weather. Come to think of it shut up Stan.
:-))

Fred1new - 25 Dec 2013 17:41 - 34559 of 81564

DC,

Off course it can be blamed.

It says it is in charge of the country and make claims for everything that is getting better.

Wavey Dave for Emperor.

DC on blood the Koran and moh lived and wrote words in the year 584 or their abouts and new nothing about the future and would never of thought of a MUSLIM having a blood transfusion from a NONE MUSLIM and to have blood of some one whos blood is full of pork fat and beer .

they would never of allowed to take the blood of non muslim read the Koran
and remember its words on blood it was over 2000 years ago the world then was as big as a football it is now the size of a pea

TANKER - 26 Dec 2013 14:03 - 34565 of 81564

the Koran it is against its belief to help a non MUSLIM read and tell me different
it is ok to kill a non muslim its in the Koran .

cynic - 26 Dec 2013 14:06 - 34566 of 81564

tanker and *anker rhyme which can be no coincidence .... because times change, religious texts such as the Qran and the Torah are constantly reviewed and re-interpreted and commentaries and guidance issued for the benefit of their followers

whether or not those guidelines are deemed valid by all the followers of those religions is not for you to determine, at least not until you have spent many years studying those texts - which very obviously you have not and have no intention of so doing

Britain's Economy 'Could Overtake Germany'

Britain could overtake Germany to become Europe's largest economy, according to new research by an economic think-tank.

The Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR) predicts the UK's GDP will move ahead of France by 2018, then leapfrog Germany by 2030.

Douglas McWilliams, the CEBR's chief executive, told The Daily Telegraph that Britain could become even stronger outside the European Union.

"My instinct is that in the short-term, the impact of leaving the EU would undoubtedly be negative," he said.

"My suspicion is that over a 15-year period, it would probably be positive."

But the report says Britain is also forecast to fall behind the accelerating economies of India and Brazil.

The UK's GDP will grow from more than £1.59 trillion in 2013 to £2.6 trillion in 2028, compared with China, which is predicted to be in top position with a GDP of £20.5 trillion, ahead of the US with an estimated £19.7 trillion

Japan will fall from its steady position in the global league of third to fourth by 2028, overtaken by India and followed by Brazil, Germany and the UK.

A treasury spokesperson said Britain's "hard work is paying off" with positive growth and job creation, but warned there is still work to be done.

The spokesperson said: "The economy is growing, the deficit is falling and jobs are being created and while this report is encouraging, the job is not yet done. So the government will go on taking the difficult decisions needed to secure a responsible recovery for all."

TANKER - 26 Dec 2013 16:01 - 34568 of 81564

cynic for a MUSLIM to have the contaminated blood of a Englishman full of pig fat and beer . then that about sums up their religion .

if they can have pig contaminated blood then their beliefs are worthless

TANKER - 26 Dec 2013 16:04 - 34569 of 81564

2014 is going to be a great year for the market so do not delay fill your boots

"Britain's Economy 'Could Overtake Germany"............ ends

Now come on Hays your a decent chap but at times somewhat deluded.

Either your on the strong plonk or your having a brain storm.

Yep sure were going overtake the Germans with Pounds Shops and Poundland. Throw in the foodbanks and yep we have a thriving economy based on 1.5 million Zero Hours contracts which will disappear at any hint of any Interest rate rises.

Happy Christmas by the way. I hope your enjoying it.

I certainly arent, a sister who I reckon should be on dog distemper tablets and locked up in a Zoo. Bring on normal times for god sake.

Same story on BBC

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-25519110

he UK will be in a position to overtake Germany as Europe's largest economy, according to the think tank the Centre for Economic and Business Research (CEBR).

The CEBR predicts that Germany will lose its current top spot in Europe by 2030.

It cites the UK's population growth as an aid to economic acceleration.

The report echoes the recent confidence of other business groups such as the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC).

Earlier this month the BCC said that the UK economy will surpass its pre-recession peak in 2014.

The UK will overall perform second best of all advanced economies, the CEBR said.

As for France, The CEBR said it will be one of the "worst performing" of the Western economies, and will be overtaken by the UK by 2018. This is because of slow growth due to "high taxation" in addition to the general issues of eurozone economies.
