Socs...I'm on duty in the caff-gaff over the Xmas evening, s'pose its the dog watch period but someone might be in need of a steak & kidney pie.
Bought our Xmas joint today, a 4 kilo complete prime-beef fillet, cost Rand 101
just over 8 !!
Swamp it down with a superb SA '87 Pinotage and the odd nip of 20 yr old KWV SA brandy that recently won the best brandy in the world award, beating all the French cognacs/armangnacs as well.
TIM...is me like me over the wotsit at being a TIGGY, luvvly jubbly....
ms.lw. So your butcher is Catholic eh, fancy his holiness being in the queue, you never know who your going to bump into..

Hi LW, good to see someone still popping into the cafe.
All the stores around here seem to be chaotic with last minute buying. I've had a change of meat this Christmas too. A nice big chunk of Gloucester Old Spot Pork. Are you sure that your (very cheap) prime beef is not Wildebeeste, I've read that there is a hot trade in wild meat over there, every thing from Gnu to elephant.
What about Brussels Sprouts, it's not Christmas dinner without them? Even if you hate them you have to have them!
I'll pop in on the odd occasion over the holiday, I'm not going anywhere so I will need the diversion. We probably won't hear much from the ladies, too busy washing up and such like!

Since there are no staff around, would you believe they wanted time off just because it's Christmas, I'll make the breakfast. It's full heart attack on a plate for me, anyone else game for it?
Bucks Fizz for starters OK?

My relatives are bearable because they are 200 miles away, (I don't really mean that).
Roast? The tin of beans is already open because after a few drinks the tin opener is a disaster area.
Pressies, wrapped? Why wrap a new iron, it's in a box for goodness sake!
Tree?
BOOZE - now you're talking.

Who are you making tea for at this time of day, surely [?] the bank are at the gin & it parties.
Stick a funny hat on your bonce, a whistle thingy in your norf & sarf, have another mince pie and relax in the caff.
No frenzy here, all civilised and ready to eat, as Socs so nicely puts it, our wilderbeest.
Do you know I could have swore I heard that you've mad cow in the UK but none over here, tee hee except I also heard Mrs Thatcher [I don't recognise all that Sir, Lord, Lady crap] is Christmassing over here.
Have a great Yuletide everyone....
