Will this increase or decrease the likelihood of terrorist actions in America, Europe and the rest of the world?
If you were a member of a family murdered in this conflict, would you be seeking revenge?
Should Tzipi Livni and Ehud Olmert, be tried for war crimes if or when this conflict comes to an end?
What will the price of oil be in 4 weeks time?

Blair is just offering excuses for Israel's appaling behaviour and talking to an Israeli audience. It is the appaling behaviour that causes most of Israel's problems. Israel is behaving as a terrorist state.
Here is a commentary on the speech above. The commentary is far better written and more reaslistic than Blair's speech as 'a friend of Israel'.

RF,
Thank you for your unbiased opinion.
After the banking and other fiasco I would think virtue is not the perogative of those living outside the ME.
The adjectives you use may be more indicative of yourself than those you impune.
As has been said before, if the subject of the thread is of no interest to you, don't read it.
I think the majority of other readers are able to make that choice.
Have a nicer week.

just popped in to see if there were anything of interest here, and looking at threads like this reminds me why I have contributed elsewhere for the last few years.
Too many poster with large e'gos, who like being big fish in a small pond.
A worthwhile investors bb should be a rich source of ideas and investment ideas, not nonsense like this thread where contributers just insult each other with blinkered opinions.
Totally tedious imv....
Best Wishes spitfire43.......

S43,
I wonder what precise content of this thread you find offensive.
You have other threads, such as "Weekend chat", "Talk to yourself", Various football and cricket threads and of course Political threads.
All those have only the loosest connections with finance, while the actions in the Middle East may have, or cause, calamitous effects on the financial markets.
In my youth I spent quiet a while within the "communist block" and suppression of the "press" and other forms of communication has been of interest since then.
To me there appears resemblances between that era and the wishes of some on this thread.
Have a nice day.

This is not a public forum and not related to the press either. It is a discussion area owned by MoneyAm and nothing more. There is no freedom of the press here. It is purely what MoneyAm find acceptable.

Rabbi Ovadia Yosef (file pic, 2002) Rabbi Ovadia Yosef's words were condemned as "deeply offensive"
A senior rabbi from a party within Israel's coalition government has called for Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas to "vanish from our world".

Left-wing Jewish organizations active in Europe and occupied Palestine say they are preparing to sail a ship to break the Israeli siege imposed on the Gaza Strip.
The scheduled place and time of departure will be announced shortly before the date to avoid the any disruptions or obstacles in the way of its sailing, the organizations said Sunday.
The announcement comes at a time when the Israeli foreign ministry is launching a media campaign aimed at beautifying Israels image to the global community after a massacre it led against the Turkish Marmara ship on May 31.

Israeli businessmen expressed fears that the European campaign to boycott Israeli products could widen after a sharp decline in exports.
The Israeli Maariv newspaper on Sunday published a report on the dangers of growing economic boycott of Israeli products in Europe in which it affirmed that the recent months have seen a rise in the number of European companies which withdrew their investments in Israeli companies for political reasons.
Israeli businessman Daniel Bettini, an owner of glass factory in Ariel settlement, said the boycott campaign caused enormous harm to Israel's factories which depend on exports to Europe.
The newspaper quoted Avi Ben-Zvi, who also owns a factory of glass in the same settlement, as saying that his factory stopped exporting its products to Europe because of this campaign.
Maariv also listed examples of the European parties and companies that boycotted Israel economically after pro-Palestinian pressure groups active in Europe urged them to end their business ties with Israeli companies involved in serious human rights violations against Palestinians.

It reminds me of Welsh Choirs.
