Yep going nicely. way undervalued.

Heritage are in final list of 5 approved bidders for part of Shell Nigeria acreage.

http://www.independentngonline.com/DailyIndependent/Article.aspx?id=30050

Shell has narrowed the preferred bidders for its prized parcel to five from 18 companies. The five include Nigerias Oando, backed by Anglo-French company, Perenco and Chinese-owned Addax Petroleum, and Shoreline Energy International, backed by U.K.-based Heritage Oil, according to the person familiar with the matter

cynic - 08 Mar 2011 10:19 - 350 of 593

thanks sticky .... bought back in this morning on basis of your nudge - sp now on a (bacon!) roll

hjs - 08 Mar 2011 10:31 - 351 of 593

IMO, there is a big buy order that needs to be filled and hence the SP move up north today. HOIL was over sold..

HARRYCAT - 08 Mar 2011 11:38 - 352 of 593

Rumours (unsubstantiated) of a bid approach (maybe by OMV).

goldfinger - 08 Mar 2011 12:16 - 353 of 593

Lifted from across road.......

Continued hopes that Heritage Oil may be a takeover target lifted its shares by 8.1 per cent to 305p.

Investors were sceptical of the bid talk but said Heritage may be keen to sell its gas field in Kurdistan and also noted that the resolution of a tax dispute in Uganda may be worth about 50p per share.

Yep sold mine forst thing........ too early. Never mind you never look back in this business, I can always buy them again.

cynic - 15 Mar 2011 14:07 - 361 of 593

break out the champagne! ...... bought back in this morning and it's now in profit by enough go buy that single bottle of pop!

HARRYCAT - 15 Mar 2011 14:11 - 362 of 593

The assumption was that a number of investors were having to sell their stakes in HOIL to cover margin calls elsewhere, so the drop is possibly overdone.

cynic - 15 Mar 2011 14:15 - 363 of 593

forced sales will be across the board, but given that HOIL has bucketsful(???) of proven gas and suddenly nuclear power is the black sheep (don't you love mixed metaphors), it becomes much more desirable

goldfinger - 16 Mar 2011 14:45 - 364 of 593

Went in myself first thing this morning, doing very well.
