How to profit from Betting Exchanges (BEX)

How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?

Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

bakko - 19 Jun 2005 21:18 - 3491 of 10502

A great day of sport again. Looks like F1 is dead in America. The sport is so up its own a**e it can't make rational decisions any longer. What a great way to hack off your supporters!!!

Just wondering if any player will finish under par for the tournament. Not a course I would wish to play.

bakko - 19 Jun 2005 21:58 - 3499 of 10502

Evening Scrip

Woods is the favourite now with goosen in a bunker from tee at 9th

bakko - 19 Jun 2005 22:00 - 3500 of 10502

Tiger birdies to go level with Goosen and 1 behind Campbell

Scripophilist - 19 Jun 2005 22:03 - 3501 of 10502

The 10th has been playing below par all week. That's probably Woods last chance to get a lower score now.

lets hope no one finishes under par - would cost me quite a few quid!

Starting to look like its got Woods name on it.

Where has Tim Clark come from - i backed him pre tournament (170s i think) and thought he'd missed the cut - just greened up on him at 23 :)
