THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

GF.

Have pity on the lad.

It doesn't matter if it becomes law or not. If another party gets in, say Labour, then they can just repeal the law. If the Conservatives get in then they will hold a referendum even without a law as they would have a majority and could then pass the law. It is quite unusual for one parliament to bind the next in a law and actually not possible in the event.

What is obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)?

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is an anxiety disorder characterized by uncontrollable, unwanted thoughts and repetitive, ritualized behaviors you feel compelled to perform. If you have OCD, you probably recognize that your obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors are irrational – but even so, you feel unable to resist them and break free.

Like a needle getting stuck on an old record, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) causes the brain to get stuck on a particular thought or urge. For example, you may check the stove twenty times to make sure it’s really turned off, wash your hands until they’re scrubbed raw, or drive around for hours to make sure that the bump you heard while driving wasn’t a person you ran over.

Do you mean like persistent ramping?

goldfinger - 02 Jan 2014 20:36 - 34932 of 81564

Hays..........ahhhhhh so yes I get it now, your just out to preach and not debate.

Just what you do here.

Mind nobody takes any notice of what you say as you never back it up with solid evidence.

To Old Friends!

Haystack - 02 Jan 2014 20:37 - 34934 of 81564

Twitter is not for debating. There is very little interaction.

MaxK - 02 Jan 2014 20:38 - 34935 of 81564

What matters is Call Me Dave's word!

It's not worth a toss, and now anyone with even half a braincell knows this.

UKIP are going to have a major coup with this, as it proves what they have said all along.

Haystack - 02 Jan 2014 20:46 - 34936 of 81564

Cameron's word won't be a problem as he wants th referendum.

Don't forget Labour won't give a referendum. UKIP will do well in the EU elections because of proportional representation, but will do very badly in our election as it is first past the post. UKIP will not be able to give a referendum as they were not be able to get a majority. The most likely result is zero MPs for UKIP.

All that means is that the only way you can get a referendum is if the Conservatives win the election and get a majority. UKIP is just a fantasy.

Understanding OCD obsessions and compulsions

Obsessions are involuntary, seemingly uncontrollable thoughts, images, or impulses that occur over and over again in your mind. You don’t want to have these ideas but you can’t stop them. Unfortunately, these obsessive thoughts are often disturbing and distracting.

◾Counting, tapping, repeating certain words, or doing other senseless things to reduce anxiety. IE DAVID C AND THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY.

1.Exposure and response prevention involves repeated exposure to the source of your obsession. I suggest you go and meet David C and talk through your problems.

I did laugh at this one - Don't tell me you have done this fred, otherwise I would be worried.

drive around for hours to make sure that the bump you heard while driving wasn’t a person you ran over.

Your need seems greater than other posters on this thread.

As you may know dreams sometimes change into nightmares.

I don't think it was she that done a U turn on the poll tax , it was her cabinet minsters . Besides by then she was near to the end of her reign.

There are so many u turns by Labour its hard to know were to begin, ok 24 hour drinking , marching drunkin yobs to ATM's to pay on the spot fines .............

dreamcatcher - 02 Jan 2014 21:11 - 34941 of 81564

There you are fred your pretty picture has not worked, have you forgot how to put a picture on here, or have you not even noticed, all symptoms. lol

Ps Even the double entries all the time. :-)) Its not gone unnoticed.

goldfinger - 02 Jan 2014 21:14 - 34942 of 81564

True about labour yep agree alders, but Maggie was the PM at the time of the Poll Tax and just like the Belgrano she pressed the red button.

More recently Osbourne, well I cant remember more U turns from a chancellor.
