bhunt1910,

Alan is correct. You mustvalidate your account with 2 positions (long or short) with trades that are worth over 10,000 and less than 50,000. If the stock you are looking at has a low NMS then it can not be used to validate the account if the value is less than 10,000.

Once the account is valid, the minimum trade rules do not apply. The NMS rules apply at all times.

Good luck,

Karl

Have just sent email as many especially AIM have a smaller max. than min. therefore not possible to trade!

hewittalan6 - 24 Oct 2005 08:39 - 352 of 550

WOW. I was right on somethign!!!!
Does that get me a bonus 50k to trade in the game? Please? I'll still lose anyway!!

Thanks Alan

Ladies and Gents,

For players that have played the game before, there have been a few changes to the rules.

Please have a look at the new rules:
Champion Investor FAQ's and Champion Ivestor Rules

In brief:

To validate your account you must open 2 positions, long or short, in 2 different stocks with a minimum value of 10,000 and a maximum value of 50,000. Once your account is valid these restrictions do not apply.

You cannot at any time trade more than the Normal Market Size of any stock that is listed in the game. The Normal Market Size is show on the trade ticket.

Hope that helps,

Karl.

now i'm confused Karl !

Can i or can i not buy a stock for max then a few minutes later
buy some more thus paying dealing costs on each trade as you
would do with a online account ?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 24 Oct 2005 08:55 - 357 of 550

mackem,

essentially, you can buy up to NMS and then a few minutes later buy more if you want, but as you say, you will have to pay the dealing costs and it may take you a little while to close the position as you will have to sell seperately,

Flackwell Vialli - 24 Oct 2005 09:11 - 362 of 550

Must say that the new rules have focussed me on just how small some of the NMS are - For example JCR which I was hoping to buy.

SEADOG - 24 Oct 2005 09:14 - 363 of 550

Ian,
OK now, but view position summary is showing 20 for commission..........SD

IanT(MoneyAM) - 24 Oct 2005 09:51 - 368 of 550

Seadog,

see the note below the position summary - it shows what will be the eventual commission when you have closed the position,

'Please Note that "Open" positions will show the cash profit based on closing the position at the
current price as show in the "My Account" section including all charges (commission and stamp duty).
All prices are 15 minutes delayed.'
