THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Hays,

I didn't realise you had changed your name.

Very sad.

Fred1new - 03 Jan 2014 14:43 - 35004 of 81564

Hays,

Many of the "cuts" and their effects have not been realised yet!

---------

Reminds me of a remark made to me over 60 years ago about tories by an old man that, "the Tories are all liars, damned liars, think of that every time you come to negotiate with them".

Any doubts I had at the time have subsequently been removed.

========================

I think he saw the success of a tory icon in this way.

aldwickk - 03 Jan 2014 15:26 - 35005 of 81564

goldfinger

I don't know what you are getting excited about , a lot of it as already been hinted at in the past .

Labour under Tony Blair had a secret plan to flood the UK with mass imigration , secret from most of his own cabinet not to mention Iraq

2517GEORGE - 03 Jan 2014 15:30 - 35006 of 81564

It's what they all do, con and lie to the very people they are supposed to represent.
2517

MaxK - 03 Jan 2014 15:33 - 35007 of 81564

Not to the people they really represent.

goldfinger - 03 Jan 2014 15:33 - 35008 of 81564

ohhhhhhhhhhhh but this is far worse alders.

You should see twitter its full of it and this is the previous pro Thatcher fans posting in dismay and disapointment.

The anti thatcher brigaide cant get a word in as the feeling of betrayal is so overwhelming.

This weekends newspapers will be choko with it.

Whats more further revelations are to be published, some say link with her son!!!!!!!!!!

cynic - 03 Jan 2014 15:34 - 35009 of 81564

con and lie????
nah! just omit to tell all .... and in (dis)honesty, often quite rightly so too - e.g. MrsT and her contingency plans for the mines

2517GEORGE - 03 Jan 2014 15:40 - 35010 of 81564

MaxK, themselves?
2517

cynic - 03 Jan 2014 15:41 - 35011 of 81564

oh do shut up sticky :-))

MaxK - 03 Jan 2014 15:43 - 35012 of 81564

Indeed George.

goldfinger - 03 Jan 2014 15:51 - 35013 of 81564

Cyners........Links with her son!!!!!!!!!! you know what that means dont you..BANGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

goldfinger - 03 Jan 2014 15:53 - 35014 of 81564

Ohhhhhhhhhhh im loving this, this is dream world, Maggie getting hammered by everyone and from everyside.

All the hangers on now distancing themselves. Fatty Pickles as just done that LOL.

cynic - 03 Jan 2014 15:56 - 35015 of 81564

remind me can you, but am i not correct in thinking that MrsT is dead and left power about 20 years ago? ..... if so, what are you getting so excited about?

now if you were discussing the merits or otherwise of brown or blair, then of course it might even have current relevance

:-)

doodlebug4 - 03 Jan 2014 16:09 - 35016 of 81564

It will be interesting if/when we ever get to the truth about all the shenanigans over the Iraq debacle and the Blair/Bush conversations. This country is still paying the price for that unholy mess.

Haystack - 03 Jan 2014 16:15 - 35017 of 81564

No one really cares about Mrs T and the miners etc., except the twitters crazies. Twitter is inhabited by trolls who like to get excited about anything in the news. They are all goldfinger clones.

goldfinger - 03 Jan 2014 16:30 - 35018 of 81564

LOL, SKY news full of it. You cant sweep it under the carpet this time.

Any way social net work sites carry a lot of weight these days. Bit like you fatty Hays.

Fred1new - 03 Jan 2014 16:49 - 35019 of 81564

A Dream to nightmare.

What we should do is dig her up and expose her for what she was.

Perhaps not.

goldfinger - 03 Jan 2014 16:55 - 35020 of 81564

Your right Cyners I never got the chance to vote against Maggie being too young, but I certainly have studied her works etc etc, and have noticed how the North of England is devoid of previous manufacturing business, in fact work of any kind bar super markets.

Fred1new - 03 Jan 2014 17:10 - 35021 of 81564

DB.

I would like to open the books on Blair and Bush before we have the luck of them dying.

I think much of the present problems in the ME are down to them, but unfortunately some problems are and to come from Israel, which at the moment is out out of the headlines.

cynic - 03 Jan 2014 17:20 - 35022 of 81564

lots of good reasons why uk (heavy) manufacturing was in serious decline from WW1 onwards

for sure there was plenty of appalling management, and to some extent, that is how and why the balance swung too far the other way (as is the nature of these things) towards union power .... this in turn gave a good toehold for ultimate direct russian financial and political control of several key unions

however, even without all the above, it is in the nature of manufacturing in the modern era, that it gravitates to areas where labour is cheaper or even cheapest, always provided that the goods are produced to an acceptable quality

in the chemical industry, china especially has a well-earned reputation for producing sub-standard product - ditto india to some extent - with the result that the only way that it can be sold is at a discount

for that matter, many people still refuse to accept chinese stainless steel, for similar reasons

sorry - got a bit off subject at the end :-)
